We’re creating a first-class working environment for staff at Strathclyde Estates Services is a large and diverse department. Our staff are responsible for estate planning and strategy, sustainability and environmental management, project delivery, estate maintenance, sports and health, catering and security. We work together with colleagues across the University and a wide range of partners, including industry and government to create an environment where Strathclyde students and staff can thrive.

Our staff work hard to maintain a safe, attractive, accessible and clean campus for students, staff and visitors. We look after University buildings, infrastructure, grounds, gardens, telephones, car parking, cleaning, waste management, mail and other essentials to enhance the student and staff experience.

We’re transforming our campus

Estates Services is in the process of implementing the University’s ambitious £1billion Capital Investment Programme to create a great working and learning environment for the people who study and work at Strathclyde. Projects recently completed or currently in progress include Strathclyde Sport, Learning and Teaching Building and Heart of the Campus.

Reporting maintenance issues on campus

Estates Services deals with all maintenance, repair, cleaning and alteration requests across the University. For non-emergency requests, contact your departmental EMS user who will raise a Service Order request through the EMS system.

In an emergency, such as a gas leak or a lift breakdown, please call the Estates Helpdesk on extension 2164. Outside office hours calls are directed to Security, which means help is available around the clock.

The Estates Helpdesk prioritises requests according to their urgency. Details of prioritisation and service levels are available on our website.
