CourseRequirements:(1) AttendanceandClassParticipation:Youareexpectedtoattendeveryclassandarriveontime.Poorattendance,

frequentlatenessandearlydeparturewillaffectyourgrade.Attendancewillbetakenatthebeginningofeachclass.3latearrivalsorearlyleavesequaloneabsence.Ifyourabsencesexceed3classes,youwillnotreceiveanAregardlessofyoursemesterscores.Ifyourabsencesexceed6classes,youmayfailthecourse.Lowattendancegradewillalsocausedeductioninparticipationscores.Laptops,MP3playersandcellularphonesmustbeturnedoffduringclass.Youmaynotleavetheclassroomduringclasswithouttheinstructor’spermission.

(2) Homework:Youshouldhavedonehomeworkassignmentsbeforeclasstoparticipatefullyintheclassroomactivities.Latehomeworkwillnotbeacceptedwithouttheinstructor’spermission.Eachhomeworkassignmentshouldbere-submittedaftercorrectingtheerrorsmarkedbytheinstructorduringthefirstsubmission.Thisre-dosubmissionisduebythedayindicatedontheschedule.Anylatesubmissionlaterthaneachmidtermwillnotbeaccepted.

(3) Quizzes:Therewillbenomake-upforamissedquizortest.Missingaquizortestistheequivalentofazero(0).Ifyouplantomisstheclassonthedayofquizzes,youmaytakethequizinadvancewithinstructor’spermission.

(4) Lab:Weeklylabworkisrequired.Eachvisitmustbeatleast30minuteslong.Studentsareresponsiblefortrackingtheirlabvisitathttp://ruhere.rutgers.eduandshouldsubmittheirlablogattheendoftheterm(ifitisnotaccessiblebytheinstructor).
