Sadly Dene’s Dad died when Dene was 12 years old. He had a lucky break when he was 13 and met the owners of NZ’s best motorcycle magazine, called Kiwi Rider. John and Pete saw Dene riding and ended up taking him under their wing.Dene started doing photos for the magazine in 1986.
