Introduction
Installation Overview This document provides instructions for installing the Costpoint Web 6.1 Service Pack 2 (that is, Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2) software. During this installation, you will perform the following steps:
Ensure that your system meets the installation prerequisites
Please refer to the sections titled “Installation Prerequisites” and “System Requirements” for additional information.
Install and configure the Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 System and Admin databases
Install the Oracle WebLogic® Server software
Install and configure the Actuate® iServer System software
Install and configure the Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 software

Installation Prerequisites The following prerequisites must be met before applying Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2:
The Costpoint 6.1 SP2 client-server software and database must be installed and operational.
You must have Administrative access to your Costpoint 6.1 SP2 Database.
Features/Platforms Not Supported In Costpoint Web 6.1 The Costpoint Web 6.1 system does not currently support the following features and platforms:
Web servers other than Microsoft’s Internet Information Server and BEA’s WebLogic Web server.

Naming Conventions The naming conventions specified in this section are used throughout these installation instructions.
Drive Letters The drive letters used in these installation instructions are listed in the following table.
Drive Description
C: The drive where the Costpoint Web 6.1 system files are installed.
D: The drive containing the CD-ROM reader.
Directory Names The directory names used in these installation instructions are listed in the following table.

BEA The name of the directory where the BEA WebLogic software is installed.

DELTEKCP The name of your Costpoint 6.1 SP2 database schema.
CPSYSTEM The name of the Costpoint Web 6.1 System schema. The CPSYSTEM user is a separate database schema that stores the metadata that the Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 software needs to function properly.
CPADMIN The name of the Costpoint Web 6.1 Admin schema. The CPADMIN user is a separate database schema that stores system and security information that the Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 software needs to function properly.
Introduction
Internet Information Software corrections and enhancements are available for download from the Deltek Website (http://www.deltek.com). This area includes all corrections and enhancements since the last software release.
To download a file from Deltek’s website, complete the following steps:
1. Go to http://www.deltek.com.
2. Click the Support Login link in the upper right corner of the screen. The Deltek Support Login screen displays.
3. Perform the following:
Username — Enter your Support user name. Password — Enter your Support user’s password. Click Log In. The Deltek Support Home screen displays.
If you have forgotten your username or password click the Account Assistance button. If you have forgotten your username, enter your email address and click the Email My Username button. If you have forgotten your password, enter your username and click the Reset My Password button.
4. Select the Knowledge Center tab, and perform the following:
Refine by Product — Select Costpoint from the drop-down list. Leave the All Subs drop-down as All Subs. Refine by Category/Version — Select Service Pack / Hot Fix from the drop-down list
(select Regulatory Updates to download tax updates, calendar year end updates, and other regulatory update postings).
Change the All Subs drop-down to 6.1 (SP2). Search Type — Leave as Phrases or choose how you want to search from the drop-
down list. Search by Keyword — Enter the specific text you are looking for, or leave blank to
return all records for this version. Click the Search icon.
5. When the search results appear, perform the following:
Select the link for the desired correction (under the Summary column). When the desired correction loads, select the blue links to download the files.

New Installation for Oracle®
The Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) component is optional. As part of this installation, you will install Oracle’s WebLogic Server application server software. The WebLogic Server software includes an integrated Web server component that you may use with the Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 software.

During this installation, you will:
Create and populate a Costpoint Web 6.1 System database schema named CPSYSTEM. The CPSYSTEM database schema stores metadata that the Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 software needs to function properly.
Create and populate a Costpoint Web 6.1 Admin database schema named CPADMIN. The CPADMIN database schema stores system and security information that the Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 software needs to function properly.
Prerequisites Before beginning, the database server should meet the following prerequisites:
Hardware
Hardware requirements vary among the different Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) platforms. Please consult with Deltek’s Systems Solutions team or your RDBMS platform vendor to determine the hardware requirements for your database server.
Software
Oracle RDBMS 11g Release 1 (11.1.0.6) or Oracle RDBMS 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.4).
Currently, 11.1.0.9 for Oracle RDBMS 11g and 10.2.0.4 for Oracle RDBMS 10g were the latest versions available and tested at Deltek for Costpoint 6.1 SP2.
Other
To run the install, a system color setting of 256 colors, or higher.
You must know the Oracle SYSTEM and SYS user passwords to run the installation.
For the Costpoint Web 6.1 system to function properly, the system clocks on your WebLogic application server, Actuate report server, and the database server that hosts your Costpoint Web 6.1 database schemas must be synchronized with each other. Failure to synchronize your system clocks may result in login and other system problems

1. Creating Costpoint Web 6.1 Instance(s) and Tablespaces
Purpose This step provides recommendations for configuring your Oracle instance(s) and setting up your Costpoint Web 6.1 CPSYSTEM and CPADMIN database tablespaces.
Where This step must be performed on the Oracle database server(s) that will host your CPSYSTEM and CPADMIN database schemas.
The CPSYSTEM and CPADMIN database schemas may reside on the same Oracle instance, separate Oracle instances, or separate Oracle database servers.
To create the instance(s) and tablespaces that will host your CPSYSTEM and CPADMIN database schemas, complete the following steps:
1. Use your Oracle database software to create an Oracle instance(s) for hosting the CPSYSTEM and CPADMIN database schema(s). The following tables provide recommendations for creating your Oracle instance(s):
The Oracle instance(s) should be created with the Oracle JVM enabled.
The following tables provide recommendations for creating your Oracle instances.

* The values for the Oracle parameters above are general guidelines based on internal testing done at Deltek with large databases. Customers must tune these parameters over time based on database size, concurrent users, workload etc. to achieve optimal performance.

These initial settings are only minimal recommendations. Your production environment may need to be analyzed and adjusted to meet your specific requirements.
Deltek recommends that you regularly refresh Optimizer statistics on your Costpoint 6.1 SP2 schemas. Regular statistic generation will enable the Oracle Cost-Based Optimizer to form accurate and efficient execution plans to access the Costpoint 6.1 SP2 data.
Deltek recommends using Oracle RDBMS 11g Release 1 (11.1.0.6) or Oracle RDBMS 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.4) to generate the most optimal schema statistics.
You can use the following Oracle PL/SQL procedure to generate schema statistics for your

2. Enabling Oracle JVM Purpose This step provides instructions for enabling the Oracle JVM. The Oracle JVM must be enabled on the Oracle instance(s) that support your Costpoint 6.1 SP2 Database and CPSYSTEM and CPADMIN schemas. If your Costpoint 6.1 SP2 Database, CPSYSTEM, and CPADMIN schemas are hosted on separate instances, you will need to perform this step for each instance.
Where This step must be performed on the Oracle database server instance(s) that host your Costpoint 6.1 SP2 Database, CPSYSTEM, and CPADMIN schemas, or a Windows client workstation that has SQL*Net connectivity to these Oracle database instances. The supported Oracle client software must be installed on the Windows client workstation.
If your Costpoint 6.1 SP2 Database, CPSYSTEM, and CPADMIN schemas reside on different instances, you must perform this step for each instance.
To enable the Oracle JVM, complete the following steps:
1. Start the Oracle Enterprise Manager Console, and launch the standalone console.

2. When the Oracle Enterprise Manager Console screen displays, expand Databases, and expand your Oracle Instance (for example, ORC1).
3. When the Login screen displays, perform the following:
Username — Enter SYS. Password — Enter the password for the SYS user. Username — Select SYSDBA from the drop-down list. Click OK.
4. Expand Instance and click Configuration.
5. When the right window pane populates, select the Memory tab and perform the following:
Java Pool — Enter 20 MB, or greater. Click Apply.
6. Exit out of Oracle Enterprise Manager Console.
7. Start SQL*Plus, as the SYS user, log into your database instance, and execute Oracle SQL*Plus command similar to the following:
@<Oracle_Home>\javavm\install\INITJVM.SQL;
<Oracle_Home> identifies the directory where your Oracle software is installed (for example, C:\Oracle\Product\10.2.0-\db-1).
For example, @C:\Oracle\Product\10.2.0-\db-1\javavm\install\INITJVM.SQL;
This command will take several minutes to complete and may exit you out of SQL*Plus.
8. If not already connected, start SQL*Plus, as the SYS user, log into your database instance, and execute Oracle SQL*Plus command similar to the following:
grant select on DBA_PENDING_TRANSACTIONS to PUBLIC;
9. Exit out of SQL*Plus.
3. Creating Costpoint Web 6.1 System Database Schema
Purpose This step provides instructions for creating and granting database privileges to the CPSYSTEM database schema.
Where This step must be performed on the Oracle database server that will host your CPSYSTEM database schema.
To create and grant database privileges to the Costpoint Web 6.1 System database schema, complete the following steps:
1. Start SQL*Plus, as the SYSTEM user, log into the database instance that will house your CPSYSTEM database schema, and execute Oracle SQL*Plus command similar to the following:
create user CPSYSTEM identified by <Schema_Password>
default tablespace <CPMETA_DATA>
Where:
<Schema_Password> identifies the password you wish to use for the CPSYSTEM database schema. Deltek recommends using CPSYSTEM. It is critical that you remember this password. You will need it to complete the installation.
<CPMETA_DATA> identifies your Oracle instances’ default tablespace name. Deltek recommends using CPMETA_DATA.
<TEMPORARY_DATA> identifies your Oracle instances temporary tablespace name. Deltek recommends using TEMPORARY_DATA.
2. Execute the following Oracle SQL*Plus command:
grant connect, resource to CPSYSTEM;
grant create view, create procedure to CPSYSTEM;
3. Exit out of SQL*Plus.
4. Creating Costpoint Web 6.1 Admin Database Schema
Purpose This step provides instructions for creating and granting database privileges to the CPADMIN database schema.
Where This step must be performed on the Oracle database server that will host your CPADMIN database schema.
To create and grant database privileges to the Costpoint Web 6.1 Admin database schema, complete the following steps:
1. Start SQL*Plus, as the SYSTEM user, log into the database instance that will house your CPADMIN database schema, and execute Oracle SQL*Plus command similar to the following:

New Installation for Oracle®
WebLogic Application Server Installation
Overview The Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 system uses Oracle’s WebLogic Server for its application server tier. During this step, you will install the WebLogic Server 10.3.1 application server software and the Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 software.
The Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 WebLogic application server should not contain any previous versions of WebLogic or Costpoint Web.
Prerequisites The application server that will host the WebLogic Server and Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 software should meet the following prerequisites:
Hardware
Pentium IV 2.0 GHz processor, or higher. Dual processors (recommended).
2 GB of RAM, or higher.
Raid 5 disk array (recommended).
Software
Windows 2003 Server SP2 (32-bit) or Windows 2008 Server (64-bit).
Deltek recommends that your WebLogic and Actuate servers are either both Windows 2008 (64-bit) or both Windows 2003 (32-bit).
Other
To run the install, a system color setting of 256 colors, or higher.
1. Installing WebLogic Server on Windows 2003 (32-bit)
Purpose This step provides instructions for installing Oracle’s WebLogic Server 10.3.1 application server software on a Windows 2003 32-bit server.
If you are running on a Windows 2008 (64-bit) server, skip this step and proceed to step #2, Installing WebLogic on Windows 2008 (64-bit).
Where You must perform this step on the machine that will serve as your Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 WebLogic 32-bit application server.

WebLogic Application Server Installation
To install the WebLogic Server 10.3.1 software, complete the following steps:
1. Insert the installation CD labeled Costpoint Web 6.1 Service Pack 2 WebLogic into drive D:.
2. From the Start menu, click Run. The Run dialog box displays.
3. Enter D:\Deltek\CPWeb61SP2WebLogicSetup.exe in the Open field.
4. Click OK to launch the WebLogic Server installation program. The Introduction screen displays.
5. Click Next. The License Agreement screen displays.
6. Review the license agreement, and select the I accept the terms of the License Agreement option.
7. Click Next. The Choose WebLogic Installation Directory screen displays.
8. Enter a folder name in the Please choose WebLogic Install directory field. The default is C:\Oracle\Middleware (recommended).
Do not install the WebLogic Server software in a directory path or folder that contains a space. The Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 software will not function properly if the WebLogic Server software is installed to a directory path or folder that contains a space.
Please make note of the WebLogic Install directory. You will be prompted to enter this WebLogic Install directory when performing the Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 software installation.
9. Click Next. The Pre-Installation Summary screen displays.
10. Review the installation parameters you have selected.
If you want to change any settings, click Previous to go back and make the necessary changes.
If you are satisfied with these settings, click Install to begin the installation.
This install will take several minutes to complete. Please do not interrupt it. You will notice a Windows Command Shell. Please do not close this screen—when the installation has completed this screen will close.
11. When the Install Complete screen displays, click Done to exit the installation.
If you are running a WebLogic cluster, you must repeat this step for all of your WebLogic servers, running once on your Cluster master and on each of your cluster nodes. Please refer to the DeltekCostpointWeb61SP2ConfigurationUtility.pdf guide (Technical Guides folder of Manuals CD) for more information on WebLogic clustering.
12. Proceed to step #3, Installing Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 Software.
2. Installing WebLogic Server on Windows 2008 (64-bit)
Purpose This step provides instructions for installing Oracle’s WebLogic Server 10.3.1 application server software on a Windows 2008 64-bit server.

Where You must perform this step on the machine that will serve as your Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 WebLogic 64-bit application server.
To install the WebLogic 64-bit Server 10.3.1 software, complete the following steps:
1. Download matching versions of jdk1.6.0_xx for 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems from http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp.
The Java you download must be a version of 1.6.0 (1.6.0_xx) and must be the exact same version for both 32-bit and 64-bit, even the minor versions must be the same (i.e., both should be jdk1.6.0_14).
WebLogic will use the 64-bit version and Actuate will use the 32-bit version.
The jdk1.7.0_xx versions will not work with Actuate.
2. On your 64-bit application server, create a C:\Oracle\Middleware folder.
3. Install the 64-bit JDK you previously downloaded, into the C:\Oracle\Middleware folder.
Deltek recommends you install the 64-bit Java into this folder. After installing the Java, you should have a folder similar to C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdk1.6.0_14.
The folder you install the JDK into cannot contain any spaces.
4. Insert the installation CD labeled Costpoint Web 6.1 Service Pack 2 WebLogic 64-bit into drive D:.
5. From the Start menu, click Run. The Run dialog box displays.
6. Enter D:\Deltek\CPWeb61SP2WebLogic64Setup.exe in the Open field.
7. Click OK to launch the WebLogic Server 64-bit installation program. The Introduction screen displays.
8. Click Next. The License Agreement screen displays.
9. Review the license agreement, and select the I accept the terms of the License Agreement option.
10. Click Next. The Choose WebLogic Installation Directory screen displays.
11. Enter a folder name in the Please choose WebLogic Install directory field. The default is C:\Oracle\Middleware (recommended).
Do not install the WebLogic Server software in a directory path or folder that contains a space. The Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 software will not function properly if the WebLogic Server software is installed to a directory path or folder that contains a space.

12. Click Next. The Choose 64-bit Java Installation Directory screen displays.
13. Select the folder where you installed the 64-bit JDK in item #3 above. The default is C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdk160_14x64. If this is not the correct folder, click the Choose… button and select the correct folder.
14. Click Next. The Pre-Installation Summary screen displays.
15. Review the installation parameters you have selected.
If you want to change any settings, click Previous to go back and make the necessary changes.
If you are satisfied with these settings, click Install to begin the installation.

3. Installing Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 Software
Purpose During this step, you will install the Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 software.
Where You must perform this step on the WebLogic application server that will host your Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 software.
To install the Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 software, complete the following steps:
1. Insert the installation CD labeled Costpoint Web 6.1 Service Pack 2 into drive D:.
2. From the Start menu, click Run. The Run dialog box displays.
3. Enter D:\Deltek\CPWeb61SP2Setup.exe in the Open field.
4. Click OK to launch the Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 installation program. The Introduction screen displays.
5. Click Next. The License Agreement screen displays.
6. Review the license agreement, and select the I accept the terms of the License Agreement option.
7. Click Next. The Choose Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 Directory screen displays.
8. Select the directory where you would like to install the Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 software.
The default directory is C:\Deltek. If this is not the correct location, click Choose to select the correct directory.
The directory in which you install the Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 software cannot be the WebLogic Install directory (C:\Oracle\Middleware).
9. After you have selected the correct directory, click Next. The Enter WebLogic Server Information screen displays.
10. Perform the following:

IP Address or Hostname — Enter the IP address (for example, 10.2.2.154) or hostname (for example, appsvr01) of your Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 WebLogic application server.
Port — Enter the port that your Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 WebLogic Server uses to listen for connections. The default is 7009.
Deltek recommends using 7009 as the listen port unless it conflicts with other applications installed on this server.
WebLogic Server Architecture 32-bit — Select this option if your WebLogic application server is running on Windows 2003 32-bit.
WebLogic Server Architecture 64-bit — Select this option if your WebLogic application server is running on Windows 2008 64-bit.
11. After you have selected your WebLogic Server information, click Next. The Choose WebLogic Installation Directory screen displays.
12. Select the WebLogic Install directory you specified during the WebLogic Server installation.
If the default (C:\Oracle\Middleware) is not the correct location, click Choose to select the correct directory.
13. After you have selected your WebLogic Install directory, click Next. If you have selected WebLogic Server Architecture of 64-bit, the Choose 64-bit Java Installation Directory screen displays.
If you have selected WebLogic Server Architecture of 32-bit, proceed to item #16 below.
14. Select your Java 64-bit installation directory.
If the default (C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdk160_14x64) is not the correct location, click Choose to select the correct directory.
15. After you have selected your Java Installation directory, click Next.
16. The Authentication using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) screen displays.
17. Perform the following:
Yes — Select this option to use SSL authentication with Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2. No — Select this option to not use SSL authentication with Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2.
Deltek recommends accepting the No default initially in order to test the installation, but does recommend using SSL for production deployments. Please refer to Appendix L for more information.
18. Click Next. The Select Database Platform screen displays.
19. Select the Oracle option.
20. Click Next. The Enter Oracle Costpoint Transaction Database Information screen displays.
21. Perform the following:
IP Address or Hostname — Enter the IP address (for example, 10.2.2.154) or hostname (for example, dbsvr01) of your Costpoint 6.1 SP2 (DELTEKCP) database server. The Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 software uses this information to communicate with your Costpoint 6.1 SP2 DELTEK database schema.
The IP Address or Hostname cannot be 127.0.0.1 or localhost.

WebLogic Application Server Installation
Port — Enter the port that your Costpoint 6.1 SP2 database server software uses to listen for requests. The default port for Oracle is 1521.
Oracle Instance (SID) — Enter the system identification name (SID) value (ORC1) for the Oracle instance where your Costpoint 6.1 SP2 DELTEK database schema resides.
DELTEK Password — Enter the password for your DELTEK user. The default is INSTALL.
Confirm DELTEK Password — Re-enter the password for your DELTEK user. 22. Click Next. The Enter Oracle Costpoint Web Admin Database Information screen displays.
23. Perform the following:
IP Address or Hostname — Enter the IP address (for example, 10.2.2.154) or hostname (for example, dbsvr01) of your Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 CPADMIN database server. The Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 software uses this information to communicate with your Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 CPADMIN database schema.
The IP Address or Hostname cannot be 127.0.0.1 or localhost.
Port — Enter the port that your Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 CPADMIN database server software uses to listen for requests. The default port for Oracle is 1521.

You created the CPADMIN user and password during the Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 Database Setup (Step 5: Create Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 Admin Database Schema).
Confirm Costpoint Web Admin Schema Password — Re-enter the password for your CPADMIN user.
24. Click Next. The Enter Oracle Costpoint Web Sys Database Information screen displays.
25. Perform the following:
IP Address or Hostname — Enter the IP address (for example, 10.2.2.154) or hostname (for example, dbsvr01) of your Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 CPSYSTEM database server. The Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 software uses this information to communicate with your Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 CPSYSTEM database schema.

You created the CPSYSTEM user and password during the Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 Database Setup. (Step 4: Create Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 System Database Schema).
Confirm Costpoint Web Sys Schema Password — Re-enter the password for your CPSYSTEM user.
26. Click Next. The Enter Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 System Name screen displays.
27. In the System Name field, enter the system name that will be used to login to the Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 system. Deltek recommends using your Costpoint 6.1 SP2 database name (DELTEKCP).
The system name must be uppercase, alphanumeric, contain no special characters, and be 16 characters in length or less.
28. Click Next. The Choose Shortcut Folder screen displays.
29. Select the menu location for the Start Costpoint Web 6.1 Server product icon. The default is Costpoint Web 6 (recommended).
If you want the product icon installed for all users, select the Create Icons for All Users option.
30. Click Next. The Pre-Installation Summary screen displays.
31. Review the installation parameters you have selected.
If you want to change any settings, click the Previous button to go back and make the necessary changes.
If you are satisfied with these settings, click the Install button to begin the installation. 32. When the Install Complete screen displays, click Done to exit the installation.
33. Review the log file, C:\Deltek\Costpoint\61\logs\Costpoint_Web_6.1_SP2_InstallLog.log. Scroll down to the Summary section, and report any Warnings, NonFatalErrors, or FatalErrors to Deltek Technical Support.
4. Installing Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 Utilities Update
Purpose This step provides instructions for installing the Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 Utilities Update software to your WebLogic application server.
Where This step must be performed on your Costpoint Web 6.1 WebLogic application server.
To install the Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 Utilities Update software, complete the following steps:
1. Insert the installation CD labeled Costpoint Web 6.1 Service Pack 2 Utilities Update into drive D:.
2. From the Start menu, click Run, enter D:\Deltek\CPWeb61SP2UtilitiesUpdate.exe, and click OK to launch the Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 Utilities Update installation program. The Introduction screen displays.
3. Click Next. The License Agreement screen displays.

4. Review the license agreement, select the I accept the terms of the License Agreement option, and click Next. The Choose Install Folder screen displays.
5. Select the folder where your Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 software is installed. The default folder is C:\Deltek. If this is not the correct location, click Choose to select the correct folder. After you have chosen the correct folder, click Next. The Pre-Installation Summary screen displays.
6. Review the selected installation parameters. If you want to change any settings, click the Previous button to go back and make the necessary changes. If you are satisfied with these settings, click the Install button to begin the installation. The Install Complete screen displays.
7. Click Done to exit the installation.
8. Review the log file, C:\Deltek\Costpoint\61\logs\Costpoint_Web_6.1_SP2_Utilities_Update_InstallLog.log. Scroll down to the Summary section, and report any Warnings, NonFatalErrors, or FatalErrors to Deltek Technical Support.
5. Sharing Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 Deltek Directory Purpose This step provides instructions for creating a share of your Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 Deltek directory (for example, C:\Deltek). In order for Actuate and IIS to communicate with WebLogic this directory must be shared with Read and Change rights.
Where You must perform this step on the WebLogic application server that will host your Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 software.
To share your Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 Deltek directory, complete the following steps:
Windows 2003 Servers, complete the following steps:
1. Open Windows Explorer.
2. Right-click in the C:\Deltek directory, and select Sharing and Security….
3. When the Deltek properties screen displays, select the Sharing tab, and perform the following:
Select the Share this folder option. Share name — Enter a name for this share (such as Deltek_shared). Select the Permissions button.
4. When the Permissions for Deltek screen displays, perform the following:
Add a user with Allow Change and Read permissions. Select the OK button.
5. When the Deltek properties screen displays, click the Sharing tab, and then click OK.
Windows 2008 Servers, complete the following steps:
1. Open Windows Explorer.
2. Right-click in the C:\Deltek directory, and select Share….

3. When the File Sharing screen displays, perform the following:
Name — Select Everyone (All users in this list) from the drop-down list. Select the Add button.
4. When the Everyone user has been added, perform the following:
Select Everyone. Permission Level – Select Co-Owner from the drop-down list. Select the Share button.
5. Once your Deltek folder is shared, click Done.
Actuate iServer System Installation
Actuate iServer System Installation
Overview During the Actuate iServer System installation, you will install the Actuate iServer software and the Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 Actuate report files and programs.
Prerequisites The Report server that will host the Actuate iServer System for Windows software (Version 10 Service Pack 1 Fix2) should meet the following prerequisites:
Hardware
Pentium IV 2.0 GHz processor, or higher. Dual processors (recommended).
2 GB of RAM, or higher.
Raid 5 disk array (recommended).
Software
Windows 2003 Server SP2 (32-bit) or Windows 2008 Server (64-bit).
Other
To run the install, a system color setting of 256 colors, or higher.
The server that will host the Actuate iServer System cannot host any previous or current version of the Actuate iServer software.
Deltek also recommends that the Actuate iServer System NOT be installed on the same box as your WebLogic server software, and that your WebLogic and Actuate servers are either both Windows 2008 (64-bit) or both Windows 2003 (32-bit).
1. Installing Actuate iServer System
Purpose This step provides instructions for installing the Actuate iServer System software.
Where You must perform this step using an Administrator or equivalent account on the machine that will serve as your Actuate iServer System server.
To install the Actuate iServer System software, complete the following steps:
1. If you are running WebLogic on a Windows 2008 64-bit server, perform the following:
On your Actuate iServer System server, install, into C:\jdk1.6.0_14 for example, the matching 32-bit version of JDK that you downloaded during the WebLogic 64-bit installation you did in the WebLogic section.
The folder you install the JDK into cannot contain any spaces.

It may take several minutes for the installation to launch as the installation files are extracted.
6. Click Next. The License Agreement screen displays.
7. Review the license agreement, and select the I accept the terms of the License Agreement option.
8. Click Next. The Actuate Installation Option screen displays.
9. Select New User / Upgrade from 5.1.
10. Click Next. The Choose Actuate Directory screen displays.
11. Select the directory where you would like to install the Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 Actuate iServer software.
The default directory is C:\Program Files\Actuate10. If this is not the correct location, click the Choose button to select the correct directory.
12. After you have selected the correct directory, click Next. The Enter Actuate iServer System Information screen displays.
13. Perform the following:
IP Address or Hostname — Accept the default of the computer name (for example, rptsrv01) or enter the computer’s IP address (for example, 10.2.2.154).
Process Management Daemon (PMD) Port — Enter the port number you want to have your Actuate iServer’s Process Management Daemon listening to for requests. The default is 8100 (recommended).
iServer Port — Enter the port number you want your Actuate iServer listening to for requests. The default is 8000 (recommended).
14. Click Next. The Enter Actuate iServer HTTP Port screen displays.
15. Perform the following:
Port — Enter the port number you want to use for your Actuate Management Console (for example, http://rptsrv01:8900/acadmin/config). The default is 8900 (recommended).
16. Click Next. The Enter Path to Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 on your WebLogic Server screen displays.
17. Enter the shared UNC path (\\appsrv01\Deltek_shared) to the Deltek folder that resides on your Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 WebLogic application server.

Actuate iServer System Installation
The Windows Administrator user account (or equivalent) on the machine that hosts your Actuate iServer System software must have the Change and Read shared folder permissions to the Deltek folder (C:\Deltek) that resides on your Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 WebLogic application server.
18. After you have selected the correct directory, click Next. If your Actuate iServer System server is running on Windows 2008 (64-bit), the Choose 32-bit JDK Directory screen displays.
If your Actuate iServer System server is running on Windows 2003 (32-bit), proceed to item #20 below.
19. Select the directory where you installed the matching 32-bit version of JDK that you downloaded during the WebLogic 64-bit installation you did in the WebLogic section. The default directory is C:\jdk1.6.0_14. If this is not the correct location, click the Choose button to select the correct directory.
20. After you have selected the correct directory, click Next. The following Note displays.
Once you click the Install button on the next screen, Pre-Installation Summary, the installation will begin and you will automatically be prompted to select a Language and Time Zone information.
Additionally you will be prompted to enter the UserID and Password that will run the Actuate Service. It is important that you enter valid data. Entering invalid UserID and Password will terminate the installation process.
21. Click OK. The Pre-Installation Summary screen displays.
22. Review the installation parameters you have selected.
If you want to change any settings, click the Previous button to go back and make the necessary changes.
If you are satisfied with these settings, click the Install button to begin the installation. 23. When the Locale Information screen displays, perform the following:
Language — Select a language from the drop-down list. The default is your language (for example, English (United States)).
Time zone — Select a time zone from the drop-down list. The default is your time zone (for example, Eastern Standard Time (GMT–5:00 Eastern Time (US)).
24. Click the Next button. When the Specify Profiles screen displays.
25. Perform the following:
User name — Accept the default Windows Administrator user account. Password — Enter the password for your Windows Administrator user account. Confirm password — Re-enter the password. Automatically start Process Management Daemon when Windows boots — Select
this option. This option is selected by default. 26. When the process is complete, the Install Complete screen displays.
27. Select the Yes, restart my system option.
28. Click Done to exit the installation and reboot your Costpoint Web 6.1 Actuate iServer System server.

Database Installation
Database Installation
Overview This section provides instructions for installing your Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 CPSYSTEM and CPADMIN database schemas.
Prerequisites Before beginning, your database server should meet the following prerequisites:
Software
Oracle RDBMS 11g Release 1 (11.1.0.6) or Oracle RDBMS 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.4).
Currently, 11.1.0.9 for Oracle RDBMS 11g and 10.2.0.4 for Oracle RDBMS 10g were the latest versions available and tested at Deltek for Costpoint 6.1 SP2.
1. Creating Oracle System View
Purpose This step provides instructions for creating a new Oracle system view named SYSADM_CONSTRAINTS. The structural verification checking performed during the Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 upgrade depends upon this view, and, failure to apply it, will prevent the successful completion of the upgrade process.
If you have previously applied the constraint_fix.ora script to the Oracle instances containing your CPSYSTEM and CPADMIN database schemas, you may skip this step.
Where This step must be performed on the Oracle database server instance(s) that host your Costpoint 6.1 SP2 database, CPSYSTEM, and CPADMIN schemas, or a Windows client workstation that has SQL*Net connectivity to these Oracle database instances. The supported Oracle client software must be installed on the Windows client workstation. If your Costpoint 6.1 SP2 database, CPSYSTEM, and CPADMIN schemas reside on different instances, you must perform this step for each instance.
To create the new Oracle constraint view, complete the following steps:
1. Copy the constraint_fix.ora file from the C:\Deltek\Costpoint\61\dbfiles\Oracle Files\Admin folder on your Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 WebLogic application server to the Oracle database server that hosts your Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 CPADMIN database schema.
2. Start SQL*Plus, connect to your Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 databases (for example, CPSYSTEM and CPADMIN) as the SYS user, and execute the following SQL statement:
The user MUST be the SYS user. It cannot be SYSTEM, INTERNAL, or any other user, regardless of DBA status.
SQL> @constraint_fix.ora;

Ignore any errors indicating the name is already used by an existing object. Report any other errors to Deltek Costpoint Web Technical Support.
3. Exit out of SQL*Plus.
If your Costpoint 6.1 SP2 database, CPSYSTEM, and CPADMIN database schemas reside on different instances, you must perform all of the actions in this step against each instance.
2. Creating CPSYSTEM Database Schema
Purpose This step includes instructions for creating your Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 CPSYSTEM database schema.
Where This step must be performed on the machine that will serve as your Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 WebLogic application server.
To create your CPSYSTEM database schema, complete the following steps:

Purpose This step includes instructions for applying Costpoint 6.1 SP2 to your CPSYSTEM database schema.
Where You must perform this step on the machine that will serve as your Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 WebLogic application server.
Depending on the execution parameters you choose, the CostpointDBWizard will also halt whenever errors are encountered while applying the patches, scripts, stored procedures, and so on, necessary to update your database. Any file that stops on an error will be completed by the CostpointDBWizard upon restart, but the line that gave the error must be manually completed.
Please report all errors to Deltek Costpoint Technical Support.
To update your database schema, complete the following steps:

The application will display a report listing the error found.” When you click OK the following message displays – “CSP stopped with errors. The application will display a report listing the errors found. The CSP process can be restarted after the statement containing the error has been executed manually.”
Click OK. A report listing the error will open. Please have this report ready and contact Deltek Costpoint Technical Support for further assistance.
This script will proceed from the line following the error. The line that has the error will need to be manually completed once the error has been resolved.
After the issues are resolved, click Next on the Costpoint DBWizard: CSP Parameters screen or, if you have exited the CostpointDBWizard, you will need to choose Apply CSP from the Available options list box and continue from Item 2 of this step.
A Process Complete message displays – “Process completed without errors. An error file will not be generated since DBWizard completed without errors.”
Your database update has successfully completed. On the Process Complete screen, click OK and proceed to Item 6 of this step.

Your database update has completed, however, a report will open listing the errors that were encountered and successfully addressed during the CSP process. Purpose This step includes instructions for creating the Link-Views used in Costpoint Web 6.1. The Link- Views grant your Costpoint database schemas (for example, DELTEKCP, CPSYSTEM, and CPADMIN) the ability to view specific database objects owned by the each of the other Costpoint database schemas (for example, DELTEKCP, CPSYSTEM, and CPADMIN).
Where This step must be performed on the machine that will serve as your Costpoint Web 6.1 SP2 WebLogic application server.
To create link views, complete the following steps:
