The interviewsRegardless of the particular programmeor service line youre applying for, face-to-face interviews will be part of the selectionprocess. So its good to know what well

be looking for and how to give your beston the day.

The first interviewHere well be asking you for an exampleof a project / event and looking for key

behaviours that align to our core values.Well also explore your motivations.Depending on the service line you applyfor, you are likely to have a case study, which well give you on the day, alongwith full instructions and time to review it.

    Before you go:

Think of any long-term activities, piecesof work or projects where you had asignificant role to play. They could bework youre proud of, a project youfound quite challenging, but certainlysomething youve put time, effort andenergy into.

Come prepared by thinking about whatyou can bring to Deloitte in terms ofyour core drivers and values. By thatwe mean demonstrating how you striveto be the best you can be, or how youembrace working and collaboratingwith others.

The final interviewThis will usually happen on a separatedate if you have successfully passed ourfirst interview stage. But you might havethe option to combine this with your first

interview on the same day.At this stage well focus on whatsimportant to you, what your drivers areand what you value. Well also spend a bitmore time understanding what motivatesyou. It will often include a presentationyouve prepared beforehand too.

Think about your commercial awarenessand make sure youre up to date withthe latest news and stories that mighthave an impact on our business.

Be prepared to talk about yourself andwhat matters to you, and be ready toback that up with examples.

Dont forget Be sure where the interview is, what

time and how to get there. If you knowwho your interviewer is going to be,keep a note of who to ask for when

you arrive. Dress for the occasion smart and

    business-like.

Remind yourself what you wrote on yourapplication.

Recap on Deloitte and the service lineyoure applying for.

On the Day Shake hands firmly when you arrive,

smile, look confident and be enthusiastic.

Look the interviewer in the eye and beaware of your body language.

Listen carefully to each question beforeyou give your answer.

Be clear, concise and specific with youranswers dont waffle.

Use practical example to illustrate how

you demonstrate our core attributes. But focus solely on your contribution

    in any examples you give.

Think about the kind of questions youdlike to ask.

This last point is particularly important. After all, this stage of the process isnt justfor our sake. Its also a chance to confirmthat Deloitte is the right choice for you. With that in mind, here are a few examplequestions you might want to ask your

    interviewer:

Whats the most exciting thing aboutthis role?

    What are the biggest challenges?

Where do you see this opportunityleading?

What are those who joined last yeardoing right now?

Why did you choose to join Deloitte?

What do you enjoy most about it nowthat youre here?

How did you balance work with studyingfor a professional qualification?

The biggest piece of advice we can offer, however,

is really quite simple and applies to the entireapplication process: give it everything youve got.Thats to say, enthusiasm and commitment count fora great deal here at Deloitte. And this could be thefirst chance you have to demonstrate yours.

    Good luck!
