1. IntroductionThis document provides a compilation of all communication materials produced during thefirst year of the project, under Task 6.2.
These materials include the project logo, factsheet, leaflet, presentations, roll-up totem,project survey, and screencast ; they are respectively detailed in Sections 2 to 9.
2. AppHub Logos
2.1. AppHub Project Graphical Identity
A common graphic identity in all dissemination tasks allows for better visibility andrecognition as well as branding of the project. All dissemination tools and activities must referto the name of the project, to the project’s website URL (http://www.apphub.eu.com) and tothe graphic elements described below.
2.2. AppHub Website logo

The AppHub logo is used for all internal and external communication. Variations of the logocan be used if necessary (logo with baseline, AppHub service, etc.).
The AppHub logo and its variations are broadly shared on the private wiki as well as on thewebsite. AppHub Partners can download the project logos in several bitmap and vector fileformats on the public website:

The European Commission logo is also used for external deliverables, reports andcommunication materials. It is also embedded in the AppHub project document templates.

The AppHub Partners, according to their business, can join one of both suggested AppHubPartner Program:
• The AppHub Cloud Source Partner program is designed for the Cloud Service Providers
• The AppHub Outreach Parter program is designed for open source foundations, thirdparty open source forges and repositories
Both types of partners have their dedicated webpage detailing the respective marketingadvantages, a button to subscribe to the Partner Mailing List, a second one to unsubscribe, anda third button to join the AppHub Partner program.
This registration is free of charge and is only valid after a business check and Partnershipconfirmation letter.
3. AppHub Factsheet, Leaflet and Roll-up Totem AppHub factsheet, leaflet, and roll-up totem have been designed to convey the project approach,objectives, key results and to highlight the European open source market place.
The factsheet and the leaflet presents the goals of the project and a platform diagram.
The roll-up totem describes objectives, key results and the visual aspects of the AppHub marketplace. The content of the factsheet, the leaflet and the totem are clear and easily understandableby the open source producers, consumers and clouds services providers.
The number of documents printed and distributed, for each event, are decided during eachpreparation meeting. Updated factsheets, leaflets and roll-up totem can also be designed andprinted for specific events, to recruit AppHub partners for instance.

4. AppHub PublicationsAppHub publications are provided when conferences and IT events are suggesting positionpapers or project articles. Such documents contribute to evangelize on open source softwarequality management. They also remind AppHub intention to foster adoption of EU project resultsby making them trustworthy, easy to find, and easy to download and run.

4.1 CloudScape Position Paper
During CloudScape VII in Brussels, March 9, 2015, the AppHub team offered a specificworkshop with an overview of the project, a platform demonstration, some quickstart guidanceand outlook. The open source charter was also introduced.

Moreover, a Position Paper was offered to explain how the AppHub project can help the marketto seamlessly identify, position and implement the software outcomes of European projects.

4.2 ESOCC 2015 AppHub paper
During the Fourth European Conference on Service-Oriented and Cloud Computing in Messina(Italy), the European Open Source Market Place was presented along with a AppHub article withthe following abstract.
This short paper describes the AppHub project, an EU funded initiative that supports opensource software providers to facilitate the adoption of their products by making them ready forthe cloud.

5. AppHub PresentationsEight AppHub presentations have been published on SlideShare. They were provided duringinternational conferences along the first year of the project such as NetFutures 2015, CloudWorld Expo, ESOCC 2015, ICT 2015, OW2con'15, and POSS 2015. In addition, a presentationduring MICAS 2015 has been held (based on the ESOCC 2015 presentation).

On the 7th December 2015, two representatives of the AppHub team provided a training sessionfor members of the European Commission on open source software and the AppHub project.

6. AppHub Screencasts and WebinarsAppHub Screencast and Webinars are proposed in the Discover Video Section of the website.
Under the name AppHub Platform Overview, a screencast clip shows how to browse theAppHub Directory. It guides the open source producer to create and publish a template imagefor its own software using the AppHub Factory. Then, it reveals how the AppHub Store exposesits project assets, along with descriptions, user reviews, and keywords.

7. AppHub Project Survey
To support European projects implementing open source quality management best practices, wehave asked projects about their present sofware quality practices.
The AppHub Survey #1 took place between August 2015 and October 2015.
A total of 63 EC-supported R&D projects (from FP7 Call 8-10, CIP, H2020 Call 1) werecontacted. Out of 23 projects who flled the questionnaire, 16 gave enough answers (Y or N) toallow the analysis.

8. AppHub Press Releases Two Press Releases have been written during the first year of the AppHub project:
• The first press release was distributed during CloudScape VII in Brussels (March 9-10,2015). Its title is: “OW2 announces AppHub, the European Open Source Market Place”
• The second press release was prepared before the summer and distributed during themajor ICT event organised by the European Commission in Lisbon, Portugal, in October2015. “PaaSage and OW2 announce platform availability on the AppHub market place” isthe title of this joint Press Release with the PaaSage project and the European opensource market place.

9. ConclusionThis communication material report presents the main editorial contents provided by the AppHubteam at international conferences during the first year of the project.
The main printed and online documents are mentioned here with the exception of the AppHubWebsite evolutions, online interactions, mailing lists and social networks which are detailed inD6.2 Dissemination Report at Year 1.
To support FP7 and H2020 R&D projects with open source results, the AppHub team willincrease its communication efforts around collaborative workshops and hands-on tutorials. Andto recruit partners such as cloud service providers and open source foundations, we will sharemore educational materials during the second year of the project.
