DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL GHAZIABAD INTERNATIONAL

YOGA MORNING To promote a healthy lifestyle among the society, a yoga morning was
organized by the school in the park of Chiranjeevvihar Ghaziabad. Students, teachers, and parents participated enthusiastically in the event.
The parents appreciated the school’s efforts and requested to make it a
regular feature.
RUN FOR PEACE The students of DPSG International
participated in a “Run for Peace” against the growing violence and terrorism in the world. The run was organized in association
with Wave City Ghaziabad. Students from all classes along with teachers participated enthusiastically in
the run. The run was flagged off by the principal Ms. Anita Sethi and Wave City Vice President Mr. N.D. Sapoliya. The
students ran enthusiastically carrying
banners and flags to promote peace and
goodwill among people and encourage tolerance and brotherhood.
DPSG Meerut Road MUN The students of classes IX – XII participated in the MUN held at
the DPSG Meerut Road. They represented Lebanon, Kuwait
and Jordan and were part of the General Assembly, Human
Rights Council and Shield committee.
Environment Week Assembly A special assembly was held in school to increase
consciousness regarding the rampant environmental degradation in our country. Students presented poems and
many interesting facts regarding the misuse of resources.
The students of class I-II presented a skit on Pollution Ka Solution on the occasion.
Technovations Kushagra Choudhary of class X participated in
Technovation 2016 held at DPSG Vasundhara
and won the 2nd position in Stemathon and Om
Pathak of class VI and Lavish Daksh of class VII
won the 4th position in ‘Make a Toon’
French Day Celebrations
The French National Day
was celebrated in school with enthusiasm and fervor. They sang the
national song of France and served French Cuisine in the true
international spirit. They also participated in
various competitions like T-Shirt Painting, Singing
and Cuisine.
KALPKRITI Our students participated in the Fine Art Competition Kalpkriti organized by Gurukul – The School and
bagged honours in all five categories. Samriddhi,
Soumya Sri and Ishita Gupta of class XI bagged the 2nd
Position in 3D Mask Making, Anuva Tyagi, and
Vanshika Singhal of class IX along with Rishabh Chaudhary of class X won the 2nd position in Fence
Painting. Vasu Agarwal and Shruti Tyagi of class X
won the 3rd position in Sculpture and Aditi Singh, Anjali Bhardwaj, Anjali Singh and Nayan Sharma of
class XI secured the 3rd position in Mural Painitng. In the Graffiti category Deepali Middha of class IX,
Naman Adhana of class X, Archit Malik of class XI and
Harsh Raj of class XII won the 2nd position.
VISIT TO DENTIST
The students of class II were taken for an
educational visit to a dentist in Gandhinagar, Dr. Rajender Arora. The students learnt about oral hygiene and how to take care of their teeth. They were told about various
healthy habits and food and also warned about foods that must be avoided. As they left the clinic, they were given a toothpaste each with a promise that they would use it
daily.
VISIT TO PRINTING PRESS
A visit to a printing Press was
organized for the students of class 3 to link their classroom
learning on the topic of
Media with the real life experience of Printing Press to
develop a better understanding of the theme. They observed how printing,
lamination and packaging is
done.
RACE COMPETITION (PRE NURSERY – PREP) Students of Pre-Nur-Prep participated in a 50 mts. Dash.
Kids enjoyed a lot during the race and also participated enthusiastically in a three legged race
CBSE RASHTRIYA AVISHAKR QUIZ The school organized a quiz under CBSE Rashtriya
Avishkar Abhiyan for the classes 3 to 5, to leverage the
potential for science and technology learning. The theme of
the quiz was ‘Atmosphere’ Tearing and Pasting Students of Pre Nur – Prep participated enthusiastically in a Tearing
& pasting competition held to develop fine motor skill. They let their imagination soar and created colouful pictures.
Science Week The students participated in the
Science week celebrations which
included various activities like the Inter
house Science quiz for classes IX and X,
Inter House Science Role play for
classes VI- VIII and Inter Class Science
in daily life Competition for classes VI-
XII. The science quiz was won by Satluj
House and the Role Play was won by
Yamuna House. In ‘Science in Daily
Life’ one best model from each class was
selected and an exhibition was held in
the inner well which was judged by
parents.
Science Conclave Our students also participated in the Science
Conclave held at Uttam School for Girls and won
appreciation for their efforts.
BEST OUT OF WASTE Class 1-3 students learnt how to make judicious and
alternative use of the waste and created beautiful and
useful items out of bottles, newspapers, pencil shavings etc.
Our junior students also participated in
the Synergy Fest held at Gurukul – The School and won the second position in
the street play category for their presentation of a street play on Pollution
Ka Solution which highlighted the
causes and consequences of pollution and finally the ways to reduce it.
Utkarsh Tyagi of class III
participated in the
Swimming competition
held at Ramagya School
Noida and won 2 silver
medals.
A Junior Inter house Football fixture
was organized for classes III -V. In the
keenly contested competition Satluj
house emerged the champion and
Ganga was declared the runners up.
IAYP –
The IAYP (The International Award for Young People) Programme under (YES) Youth
Engaging Society, is a programme accepted in 144 countries in which Young people
above the age of 14 years are awarded for their efforts and commitment to the society.
This programme embraces four mandatory sections, i.e. Service, Skill, Physical Recreation and Adventure Journey. Students above the age of 14 years can enroll in
IAYP and serve their society and school. This programme evaluates their skills and
service to society along with their adventure spirit and presents them with Bronze, Silver and Gold awards as per their abilities.
As a part of the service to society section of IAYP, the students of the school planted
fruit tree saplings in the school premises. Principal Ms. Anita Sethi also participated in
the drive along with award leader Mr. Upendra Pandey.
