How Fires Occur ?


Linear Pneumatic Heat Detector (LPHD) - Introduction

•LPHD , a pneumatic electronic linear heat detector analyzes the rate of

temperature rise within monitored regions to confirm the presence of fire or

overheating. It senses the fire via a sensor tubing, made of stainless steel routed

within the protected zone, providing optimal detection coverage.

•A highly accurate and sensitive mechanism detects direct and indirect fire


•

exposure, while sensor sensitivity can be calibrated according to zone

environmental conditions.

•It includes an advanced Built-in Test module (BIT) that indicated failure in event

of reduced performance.

Principle :

•LPHD heat detector utilizes the physical law of the change in volume of

gases with temperature changes in the sensor tube. The mode of

operation is based on volumetric expansion of gas on heating and

corresponding increase in pressure in pneumatically sealed system.

•The Heat Detector comprises of Stainless Steel Sensor tube and Detector

Box (along with control unit).
