Degree Works IDS-WPS “What if” Analysis Step by Step Directions

Applies your current credits to academic scenarios of your choosing in order to guide you towards your educational goals

 

Once you are in Degree Works click on the “What if” under “Worksheets” on the left side of the screen located within the column under “Student ID”. From there, click on the drop down menus provided to allow you to enter the information for the WPS Program. Level “Undergraduate” Degree “Bachelor of Science” Catalog Year (Current Semester/Year)

From this center area directly below “What if” under “Choose Your Different Areas of Study” there are drop down menus for Major, Minor and Concentration. Under Major click “Interdisciplinary Studies” and it should come up under Chosen Areas of Study to the right.

You do not have to pick a minor for the WPS Program scenario however if you have a minor you may choose it accordingly. For Concentration click on “Work and Professional Study” which should also pop up under Chosen Areas of Study.

Once you have established the “What if” Scenario click the grey box that says, “Process What-If” in bold letters. “Please wait while your What-If report is processed” should appear as Degree Works prepares the request.

Use this report to determine which courses are relevant or required for the WPS program. Please email the WPS office once you have reviewed this report for further assistance. wps@odu.edu
