Extension Activities
1. Blood Donation camp: It is organized every year on 9th September in memory of founder member Late Shri Ambadaspant Vaidya. From 2013 to 2017 total 5 camps were organized in which 1001 students and faculty members donated the blood.

2. Shetkari Jagruti Abhiyan: This activity was started in 2006 to boost the morale of Farmers. Total 11 staff members participated in this activity. Total 2780 farmers took benefit of this programme since 2013- 2018.

3. Shetkari Yuvak Prashikshan Shibir: The activity started since 2007 to develop the sports culture among the Farmer’s children. Total 8 faculty members extend their services in this activity. The training is organized in each month for 15 days. Since 2013-2018 total 5002 youths participated in this programme.

4. Women Empowerment Programme: It is based on theme “Beti bachao” was conducted on 09/03/2018 in Auditorium, with Collaboration of Student Council of S.G.B. Amt. Univ. 225 girls students from University affiliated Colleges participated in the programme.

5. Celebration of International Yoga Day: Since 2015 to 2018 total 900 participants took part in this activity on 21st June of every year.

6. Rudan an NGO: Started by students in 2017. Total 25 students of Science and Commerce started this NGO. Students provided their services to Orphanage, School for blinds and also felicitated the Ex Army officers.

7. Help Line: It was started in 2007 after Deepali Kulkarni burned alive incident with an objective of women empowerment. Total 8 faculty members work for the cause. Since 2013-2018, total 623 complaints were registered, out of which 464 were solved and 159 were transferred to Police Station.

8. Water Cup Mahashramadan: In 2018, total 100 students of NSS and 5 faculties built 4 check dams in Pimpalgaon (Bainai) in Distt. Yavatmal.

9. Aids Awareness Programme: Total 1210 students & 113 staff, participated in the programme since 2013-18.
10. Aids Awareness Rally: In 2014-15 total 2200 students & 150 staff participated in the rally.

11. GST Awareness Programme: Organized 11/08/2017 for teaching and non-teaching staff of Degree College of Physical Education, Ramkrishna Krida Vidyalaya, Ramkrishna Krida Aashram Shala, Virvamanrao Joshi Prathamik Vidyalaya, College of Engineering & Technology in Auditorium. The key speaker was Adv. Atul Bharadwaj.
12. Outreach Programme on sensitization & filing Income Tax Return: The program was a collaborative effort of DCPE, Officers from Income Tax Department & Officer Trainees from NADT, Nagpur. It was organized on 30/06/2018 & 4/07/2018 for teaching and non-teaching staff of Degree College of Physical Education, Ramkrishna Krida Vidyalaya, Ramkrishna Krida Aashram Shala, Virvamanrao Joshi Prathamik Vidyalaya, College of Engineering & Technology in Auditorium.

13. Sports Training Camps: In collaboration of Nehru Yuva Kendra, 100 rural camps in 100 villages of the Amravati district, wherein adolescents and youth, especially out of school young people were imparted week long training in various traditional sports & games as well as national values like patriotism, brotherhood & secularism. Since 2015, International Yoga day prep camps were conducted in 14 Talukas followed by mass yoga camp and district level youth convention on 21st june.

14. Dengue Awareness Rally: Dengue is a vector-borne disease that is a major public health
threat. In 2018, there was a major Dengue outbreak in Amravati City. So with the intention of
making the people aware of the disease, Degree College of Physical Education organized Dengue
Awareness rally. This rally was organized on 6th Sept 2018 in collaboration with Corporators,
Municipal Corporation, N.S.S., Student Council of Degree College of Physical Education and
Vidarbha Ayurved Mahavidyalaya.
Prof. Hatekar and Dr. S. D. Patil were anchor for the inauguration programme of the
rally. Dr. Tirathkar gave the introductory speech about the rally programme. Smt. Swati Kulkarni,
Corporator, explained the students about precautions to be taken against Dengue disease which
they had to explain to public during rally. Dr. K. K. Debnath, Principal of Degree College of
Physical Education also instructed the students to bring dengue awareness in public and follow
the discipline during the rally were also present for the programme. Students were given oath to
keep the surroundings clean.

Corporators Shri. Ajay Saraskar, Shri. Pranit Soni, Smt. Swati Kulkarni and Smt. Lavina
Harse and Dr. K.K. Debnath, Principal of Degree College of Physical Education flagged the rally.
Rally started from the Degree College of Physical Education’s building. All Corporators, Dr. S.
S. Tirathkar, Dr. Lonkar, Prof. A.V. Hatekar, Prof. Deepa Kanhegaonkar (Vaidya), Prof. Ajay
Chendke, Dr. Seema Datey, Prof. Sheetal Kale and 5 faculty members of Vidarbha Ayurved
Mahavidyalaya i.e. Dr. Jyoti Dakhore, Dr. Pranita Shinde, Dr. Nita Madhavi, Dr. Priyanka Joshi,
Dr. Rohini Sawai and Dr. Prajakta Wankhade took active participation in the rally.
Total 28 Faculty members and 261 Students of Department of Science, Department of
Commerce & Administration and Department of Physical Education of Degree College of
Physical Education took active participation in the rally. 5 Doctors and 74 interns of Vidarbha
Ayurved Mahavidyalay participated in the rally to aware the public about precautionary measures
to be taken against Dengue.
The students distributed pamphlets with slogans like “Swachha Amravati Sundar
Amravati”, “Swachta Pala Dengue Tala” urging people to keep their surroundings clean and free
from mosquito breeding sources. The Municipal Corporation Personnel sprayed pesticide near the
houses of the areas covered in the route.
Route Covered in rally: Madhav Nagar, Deshpande Wadi, Prabhat Colony and
Bhuteshwar Chowk and back to Shree H.V. P. Mandal campus.

15. De-Addiction Rally (Vyasan Mukti Rally): On 03rd October, 2018 the “Vyasan
Mukti” Rally was organized by H.V.P.Mandal’s Degree College of Physical Education,(Multifaculty Autonomous College) Amravati. The rally began at around at 3.00 p.m. from HVPM premises. The route for this rally was Gandhi Chowk, Rajkamal Chowk, Jaisthamb Chowk, Shyam Chowk, Prabhat Chowk, Jawahar Gate, Old motor stand, Gandhi Chowk and ends at HVPM play ground at 5.00 p.m. The distance was near about 3 k.m.
Miss. Sandhyatai Tikale, Amravati’s Vice Mayor of Municipal Corporation, Amravati was the Chief Guest for the rally. H.V.P.M’s Hon. Secretary Dr. M. S. Chendke, Principal Dr. K. K. Debnath, Dr. V.M. Koleshwar (Ex-Principal), Dr. Sanjay Tirathkar, Course Incharges and all teaching staff from BCA, BSC and BBA gave their auspicious presence for the rally. They also boost up the rally by giving green signal.
In this rally more than 350 students from BCA, BSC and BBA courses showed their participation by self motivation. This rally helped students in getting awareness about their social responsibilities and showed enthusiastic participation for the same. This really was a proud day for H.V.P.Mandal.
All the teaching staff from BCA, BSC, BBA and Physical Education took efforts for successful completion of this rally.
