ATTENDANCEStudent attendance in class is an integral part of the learning process.
Taking part in regular instruction and participating in class discussions
are invaluable ingredients of education.
Since we are in the middle of a pandemic, it’s important that you take
good care of yourself and stay home if you have any COVID
symptoms. Please take your temperature daily and it is recommended
to wear a mask.
If you need to stay home, please remind your family to call the DCMS

MAKE-UP WORKWork missed due to a verified absence may be made up and credit given for such work. Work must be made up within two (2) school days for the first day of absence and one (1) day for subsequent days.
When you are absent from school, you need to check Canvas. Most assignments and tasks are uploaded there. If you have any questions be sure to ask your teacher.
Students participating in school activities are responsible for picking up work from their teachers in advance, and work is due on the assigned due date.
12
TARDIESIt is important that all students get to school and class on time. When students are late to school or class, they will receive a tardy. If a student has habitual tardiness, a principal will be in contact with the student and assign lunch detention.
Tardies will start over at semester.
13
Lunch Detentions
• If you are assigned a lunch detention by a principal, you must report immediately to the cafeteria before the tardy bell rings.
• Do not sit down at a cafeteria table. Get your food directly from the lunch line and then report immediately to the ISI room with your food.
• If you brought a lunch from home, proceed directly to ISI.
• The ISI room is located outside the cafeteria in C Hall.14

Winners Never Cheat• Whenever a student is guilty of cheating, the teacher shall collect the student’s paper or
close the assignment on Canvas, mark a zero in process skills for the week, and notify the parent and office as soon as possible as to the action taken.
• The parent shall be notified that a second offense will bring placement in In-School-Intervention (ISI). Any verbal or nonverbal communication, having a cell phone out during an exam, disrupting an exam, or copying assignments will result in disciplinary action and a zero.
• We know at some point many students are tempted to cheat. It’s not worth it. Be responsible for your own work so we know what you have learned. We are here to learn, that’s the Antler Way.
• Process Skills are a totally separate grade and reflect a student’s academic habits. We will use both your academic grades AND your Process Skill grades to run eligibility reports. Receiving a zero for cheating may mean you don’t get to participate in athletics, band, choir, etc. for week(s)! Cheating is totally not worth it! 17
18
• Students must have a 60 or higher in all subject areas in both academics and process skills to be eligible to participate in any extracurricular activity.
• Students with a grade of 59 or less will be put on probation for one week. • Students with a grade of 59 or less the second week will become ineligible.• Once all grades are 60 or higher, you become eligible again for the following
week.• Eligibility is run on Thursdays and takes effect the following Monday. • Ineligible students are restricted from participation Monday—Sunday. • Academic and Process Skill grades are used for eligibility determinations. You
must have a 60% average or higher in both each week.

STOPit App
STOPit is a simple app. It is the nation’s leading Anonymous Reporting System that teaches and empowers individuals to recognize and anonymously report safety, misconduct, and compliance concerns BEFORE they escalate into a crisis or other legal matter.
After your anonymous report is submitted, an administrator will see the message and can communicate with you through the STOPit app.

School-Wide
Discipline Plan
Receiving a mark should be taken very seriously and in most instances,
they will not be given without a warning. A student may receive a mark
in class for unacceptable classroom behavior, disruptions, or anything
that distracts from the educational process. Students are to be held
accountable for their behavior in every part of the building, this includes
the cafeteria and the hallways.
