Sartomer ® acrylate monomers and oligomers are the main raw materials of protective UV varnish for parquet flooring and interior furniture. Their unique chemical structure imparts superior mechanical and aesthetic properties to varnish. In particular they enhance resistance to scratches and to chemical attack - key properties for wooden floors which are therefore protected over time against repeated use and daily stress (stains, detergents, etc.). In addition to extending the lifetime of interior furnishings, Sartomer acrylate monomers and oligomers offer an exceptional aesthetic finish while preserving the colors and the glossy or matt appearance of the materials over a longer period of time. Solvent free formulated and with very low migration rate, the emissions of VOCs into the air are minimized, and so ensure a safe environment for both professionals and occupants of buildings. The use of protective varnish formulated with Sartomer products enables manufacturers to achieve protection class 23, the highest such class according to European standard EN 13329 for domestic applications for instance. This product range has also been designed to fulfil the requirements of professionals in terms of both productivity and application. Sartomer photocure products dry instantly under UV rays, pushing the boundaries that apply to traditional thermal drying varnish. The small size and the low energy consumption (no oven required, significant time saving, and low power consumption) of drying equipment enable manufacturers to make significant savings on the production line.
