Why Corner
The Visitation
Who do you bring with you?
First, Luke wrote, "Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled." Jesus is always with Mary. Wherever she is Jesus is there. Whatever she is doing Jesus is also accompanying her. Whomever she is with, they all recog-nized Jesus' presence. Mary became Jesus' mobile. Mary's life was Jesus' life. Who do people see when they see you? Second, Luke wrote, "the infant in my womb leaped for joy." At the greeting of Mary, John in Elizabeth's womb leaped for joy. Why? Because her words were God's words which are filled with the Holy Spirit. They brought joy, love, peace, hope and kindness. Are your words like Mary who spoke only God's words? Third, Luke wrote, "Mary set out and traveled... in haste." Every-thing related to God, Mary did in haste according to His will. When they come to the things of God, Mary never let a single sec-ond go to waste. "Blessed" above all people she was because her entire life was defined by God and His ways & wills. Are you blessed?

Christmas
Jesus' BD
Happy BD Jesus? What do you want for your BD?
First, from our Vigil Mass' Gospel, Matthew wrote, "He will save His people from their sins." I remembered the words of Blessed Cardinal Van Thuan to me before my priestly ordination, "you can do anything and everything, but don't sin." True words of wisdom from a saintly man who basically said the same thing like Jesus. One of the greatest gift that we could give to Jesus in our lives is to commit less sin(s) in this coming year and live life more saintly and holy. Let's work on annihilating one sin at a time so that Jesus can have more available time saving our brothers and sisters who need Him more.
Second, again from the Vigil Mass, Matthew wrote, "God is with us." Jesus wants to be part of our lives. He wants to do everything with us, to play, to study, to work, to sleep, to eat, to rest, etc... Let's extend a personal invitation to Jesu to journey with us in eve-rything that we do. This is the second gift we can give to Jesus. (continued on next page)
Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones. May your Christmas be filled with many blessings and joy from Little Jesus, may the New Year bring you good health and may many of your dreams come true. May your relationship with God be deeper and more intimate with each second of your life and smile more often as you wake up each morning as this is God's gift to you to spend with your loved ones.

A poem for the children of Sandy Hook... Twas' 11 days before Christmas, around 9:38 when 20 beautiful children stormed through heaven's gate. Their smiles were contagious, their laughter filled the air. They could hardly believe all the beauty they saw there. They were filled with such joy, they didn't know what to say. They remembered nothing of what had happened earlier that day. "Where are we?" asked a little girl, as quiet as a mouse. “This is heaven." declared a small boy. "We're spending Christ-mas at God's house."
When what to their wondering eyes did appear, but Jesus, their savior, the children gathered near. He looked at them and smiled, and they smiled just the same. Then He opened His arms and He called them by name. And in that moment was joy, that only heaven can bring Those children all flew into the arms of their King And as they lingered in the warmth of His embrace, one small girl turned and looked at Jesus' face. And as if He could read all the questions she had He gently whispered to her, "I'll take care of mom and dad." Then He looked down on earth, the world far below He saw all of the hurt, the sorrow, and woe Then He closed His eyes and He outstretched His hand, "Let My power and presence re-enter this land!" "May this country be delivered from the hands of fools" "I'm taking back my nation. I'm taking back my schools!" Then He and the children stood up without a sound. "Come now my children, let me show you around." Excitement filled the space, some skipped and some ran. All displaying enthusiasm that only a small child can. And I heard Him proclaim as He walked out of sight, "In the midst of this darkness, I AM STILL THE LIGHT." Written by Cameo Smith, Mt. Wolf, PA

Why Corner (Continued)
Third, from Masses of Midnight and Dawn, Luke wrote, "you will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger." The third gift we can give to Jesus is that Jesus needed a home, not a manger. Let's bring Jesus into our homes or better yet, let's adopt Him as a family member. Let's pray more often as a family, while traveling, at meal times, before going to bed or any event that we do as a family.
Fourth, from the Mass during the Day, John wrote, "A man named John was sent from God. He came for testimony, to testify to the light, so that all might believe through him." The fourth gift that we can give to Jesus is to tell others about Him. Like John, our lives, actions, and deeds are testimony for Jesus for others. Our family, our loved ones, our friends and our community need to know more about Jesus.
Happy BD Jesus! And many more! I love you Jesus.

Blaine is the winner of the beautiful decorative quilt that was on display in church.
Many Thanks from CCW
Where to begin?? We would like to thank everyone who bought tickets for the quilt raffle. The proceeds will benefit many of our projects. A very BIG thank you to Kathy Boylan, who not only is very talented, but also put in many hours in piecing together and putting the finishing touches on that beautiful quilt. We could not have done it without your creativity, your encouragement or your unselfishly giving of your time.

In Dickens’ Christmas Carol the miserly Scrooge is confronted in a dream by the ghost of his dead partner, Jacob Marley. Marley, like Scrooge, had been hard and stingy during life. And now from the realm of the departed appears the spirit of Marley, condemning himself and warning Scrooge against the fate that had befallen him. As the ghost wrings his hands and bemoans his shortcomings, Scrooge tries to console him with the remark, “But you were always a good man of business, Jacob.” Whereupon Marley’s ghost cries: “Business! Mankind was my business. The common welfare was my business: charity, mercy, forbear-ance, benevolence was all my business.” Too late Marley discovered what his real business in life was.
