SMG St. Vincent de Paul Conference
To our St Maria Goretti Family - We can’t do our work without your giving hands and hearts.
Our youth from SMG have generously offered their help and especially their time to your St Vincent de Paul Con-ference. We needed to instill a youthful and vibrant pres-ence to our aging group. God always answers our pray-ers. We continue to extend an invitation to any age. Perhaps you have been searching for a way to practice meaningful contributions to the Church. Our mission is foremost a prayerful one, and we live our faith by giving aid to the poor and needy, working as God’s hands on earth. This aid comes in many forms - working at the farms, volunteering in the office, dental, medical and legal clinics, helping in the bike shop, aiding the kitchen staff. Perhaps you cannot attend our bi-weekly meetings-that’s not necessary to become a Vincentian. There is training involved and we guarantee you would find it joyful and rewarding. Leave us a message on the SMG phone line for complete information.
This Advent, will you be the one who answers the call? Are you the heart that “stays awake and prepared”?
If you or someone you know in our parish boundaries is experiencing a crisis and in need of help with food, cloth-ing, rent, utilities, or medical/dental attention, we have many resources available. Call SMG SVDP at 480-948-8380 ext. 50.
Reminder: 5th Sunday Collection December 28 & 29
Donate fleece BLANKETS and packaged SOCKS to help keep the homeless warm this winter. Blankets should be the size that will fit into a back pack. Socks should be new and packaged.
Collection bins are located in Piper Hall, John XXIII Hall, or drop off at the parish office.
