Forgiveness Is An Act Of Worship
Sorors,Although we are Christians, we can have a tendency to take God’s grace and mercy for granted. Because of Christ’s sacrifice, repentance can seem too easy and get pushed aside. However, verbally and decisively “turning away” from our sin can have a negative impact. It pleases God, for us to repair a breach in our relationships, serving as an act or worship.
Let’s consider any breaches that exist in our relationships. Are there sorors we need to forgive? Pray that God will give us strength to do so. Are there ways that we have sinned against others that have impacted them - in minor or major ways? Let’s accept responsibility for our actions. Seek forgiveness and see what actions can be taken to restore the relationship. December 15, 2019 Urban Ministries Sunday School

989.297.6555Steps toward an approved manual …
Sorors,At the December chapter meeting, we did not have enough time to discuss and vote on the Delta GEMS advisor and participant manuals. There was a request for a Call Meeting, that it be face to face and not during the week. Unfortunately, due to busy holiday schedules, this will not be possible before our January chapter meeting. The manuals were available for sorors to read, make comments during two (2) listening sessions, comments were individually addressed and responded to by the Delta GEMS committee and made available for all chapter members.
Next steps …. Step 1 - email manuals and Listening Sessions’ comments and Delta GEMS Committee responses, to ALL chapter membersStep 2 - request written comments to the Delta GEMS Committee responsesStep 3 - bring only the remaining comments to the January 2020 chapter meeting for timed discussions and voting
Please note that the committee will use the Risk Management portions of the manual until other manual details are approved. Remember, this is a living document and can be amended similar to our chapter policies and procedures.
