Happy Band
At long last the Band has a good sound system which is much
needed on some of the gigs we do.
This is down to Jeff and the technical team who have been
very paent in seGng it up and where would we be without
our volunteer elderly roadies! (Joke)
I hope this made a difference when we were asked to
entertain at Stephen and June's wedding at St Leonard's
Church. What a lovely venue.
As he is a Band member Stephen came on stage and
strummed along with us for the last song.
We do hope the Band contributed to making your wedding
special Stephen.

JANE HARPER ‘S THE DRY
Science Group
For someme now I have been looking for someone to take
over the leadership of the science group, without success. But
now I must step up my search for a replacement, someone
with an interest in all things scienfic.
I will give my final talk on Tuesday 26th
., March 2019, at that
point I will have been the leader since I started the group six
years ago.
In the meanme, please remember there will be no meeng
on Tuesday 25th
., December, (for obvious reasons) !
I want to wish all who have supported the group over the past
six years a Happy Christmas and a good New Year.
Robert.
Walking Group
Another year seems to have flown past and here we are again
facing winter walks. Many thanks to all of you who have
organised walks during the year. They have been many and
varied. I will be away for the next walk but the January walk
on the 14th
will be a planning walk at Whisby or just a planning
meeng in the coffee shop if it is raining, so have a think over
the holiday period about any walks that you like and may be
willing to lead.
The usual rules for walking apply, we depart at 9.30. It is
advisable to take a note of the walk leader’s number in case
you get held up and then you will have some idea of the
direcon we have gone. For the newer members of the
group, if it is raining when you leave home, go back to bed!
Have a good Christmas, see you all in January.
