Thank you Mr. Storts for
advertising in the Sunshiner!
YOU ARE BEING CHALLENGED Abe Rodriguez is challenging all members to join in his contribu-
tion toward new tables and chairs for our expanded lounge area.
From the Adjutant: THANK YOU to everyone that helped out with the Veterans Day Parade! It was another success!!
THANK YOU to everyone that helped out with Thanksgiving Dinner, and serving the sight-impaired veterans from the VA Hospital. They had a great time, and really en-joyed the home cooked meal.
Vice Commander’s Note: All groups, organizations, and interested party’s are invited to attend our monthly Joint Activities Committee Meeting on Wednesday, December 5th at 7:00 PM fol-
lowing Queen of Hearts. We are looking for ideas and motivated members to get this post hopping! PLEASE BRING AN OPEN MIND AND ENTHUSIASM!
We need your voice to be heard! To
vape, or not to vape? That is the current
question… Vote December 15 December 15th, at the General Meeting, we will be deciding the fate of
‘vaping’ in the post. We are a non-smoking post, but the decision about vap-
ing has not yet been determined. Some will argue it is the same as smoking,
and some will argue that because it is water vapor, it is not the same. Be-
cause of this, it needs to be brought to a vote. We need you to be here to
vote!
Your opinion MATTERS!!!!
The Officers would like to know if there is a better day/time to hold the General Meet-
ings, so that more of you are able to attend. General meetings are currently the third
Saturday of the month, at 11 am. If there is a better day or time for you, tell us! We will
tally up the answers and see about possibly making changes. There are a few ways
you can do this:
1. Call the post (622-8703) and either leave a message on the answering machine, or with whoever answers the phone.
2. Complete the survey online: https://goo.gl/forms/pFb3urLQqfEMPiiB2 (this link is also on the FaceBook page and the website)

Angel Tree/Adopt A Family Program for Christmas!!!!
Angel Trees are decorated with paper Angel tags. Each tag has the first name, age & gender of a child. Each Angel tag also has the child’s clothes size and toy wish.
Donors remove one or more tags from the tree and purchase appropriate gifts for the child or children described on the tags. The donors will then bring the gifts to the Legion unwrapped and the Legion Family Elves will wrap and deliver the gifts to the Angels.
If you are not the shopping type and you would like to adopt an Angel, you can send a donation to the Post and we will do the shopping for you. All donations are greatly appreciated.
The unwrapped gifts need to be brought to the Post by December 16th.
If anyone would like to sponsor an “Angel”, come on down and take a name and lets help put big smiles on some kids faces Christmas morning. :) Every child de-serves to experience the joy of Christmas morning.
If any one would like to help out with this project please call the post.
