President’s NoteDear Prime Timers,
Merry Christmas!
On behalf of the officers of TAPT, we’d like to wish all the members a very Merry Christmas.
Jim and I would like to thank Tom Bush for presiding at the November meeting while we were away. We are happy to be at home and looking forward to seeing our friends at the Christmas Party. TAPT’s Annual Christmas Party will be on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the home of Chuck Boyce and Tom Bush. Our hosts have extended an invitation to the membership welcoming them to bring friends or prospective members. The party will be from 4:00 PM until whenever. They plan for us to eat about 5:00 –5:30 PM. Our hosts will be providing a traditional Christmas dinner main dish (turkey with dressing and Ham). Members are suggested to bring side dishesor desserts. Please R.S.V.P. to Tom Bush at (918) 960-1901 no later than November 24, 2012. Tell him how many people you’ll be bringing and what food you’ll bring to help with the celebration. We look forward to seeing you at the meeting on December 4th at 7:00 PM. Hug a Prime Timer today! SAGE Tulsa Holiday Lunch Tuesday, December 4th, 2012; 11:00 amSAGE Tulsa will be hosting a holiday lunch on Tuesday, December 4th, 2012 at 11:00 am. SAGE stands for Services and Advocacy for LGBT Elders and SAGE Tulsa meets at the Equality Center every Tuesday at 10 am for socialization and brunch. Ellen Bee Home Care will serve lunch on December 4th for SAGE Tulsa's Holiday Lunch. RSVP to [email protected]

Tulsa Area Prime Timers Monthly Meeting Tulsa Area Prime Timers Monthly Meeting November 6 2012Meeting called to order by Vice-President Tom Bush at 7:05pm.8 members were present for the meeting. We had a guest “Ralph” present.The mission statement was read by members present.Secretary report was read by John Madigan from the October monthly meeting. Motion to adopt the minutes as read by Murrel Wilmoth second by John Raveill. The motion was passed by the members present.Treasury's report was read by Murrel Wilmoth for September. Motion to adopt report as read by John Raveill second by Bill Beadles. The motion was passed by the members present.Activities report for the December was read.
Old Business- Revisited the opening of the TAPT Prime News Editor. The position is still open. TAPT Christmas party was revisited. Tom Bush reported the event was on schedule. Reminded the membership to RSVP by November 24 to Tom Bush at 918-960-1901.
New Business- The yearly Fairy Tree for Tulsa Cares was brought up for discussion. The membership present agreed that Tulsa Area Prime Timers sponsor a person from the tree on display at the Equality Center. A motion to have the club pick a name from said tree and a lot $75.00 maximum for such purchase was presented by Murrel Wilmoth and second by John Raveill. John Madigan volunteered to do the shopping. The motion was passed by the members present.
The Birthday Boys were recognized for the month of November, Omar Cowen.December 4 meeting refreshments will be provided by John Orem and Bob C.Thanks to Murrel Wilmoth for providing refreshments for November meeting.Motion to close meeting by Murrel Wilmoth second by Bill Beadles.Vice-President Tom Bush called meeting closed at 7:30pm.

NOTE TO OUR FAITHFUL MEMBERS 2012 is coming to a close. It brings membership dues to mind.Your dues are discounted for the month of December for you who want to pay early. Want to Make a Difference?The Fairy Tree has returned to Oklahomans for Equality this holiday season! The Fairy Tree is now set up in the front lobby of the Equality Center to select a needy recipient. We adopt the clients of Tulsa CARES that are in need of clothing and other items. The suggested gift items are listed for your shopping convenience. Tulsa CARES provides social services to individuals affected by HIV/AIDS. Help us support those in our community that are struggling to survive. We are asking for all gifts be returned by Saturday, December 15th, 2012.
