December 2, 2021 Dear Parents, This year our Student Council is sponsoring five families in the Adopt a Family fundraiser. We hope to be able to provide these families with an amazing Christmas! Student Council has set a goal of raising $1,500 to purchase gifts. If you can, please help support this great cause and provide these five families a wonderful Christmas, as we know it would be appreciated. See below for more details. Thank you for your patience and understanding with our new carpool pick up at the end of the day. Things are going pretty smoothly, and we hope to continue to move more quickly as we get to know your cars and can get the kids to you in a safe manner. Also, if you are the first people in line, please pull all the way into the parking lot pick up area (don’t wait on Dellwood). We want to keep Dellwood as open as possible. Please note that Tomorrow (FRIDAY) is a Parent Drive Day, so we have NO buses, which means the carpool line will be a bit longer for both the morning drop off and afternoon pick up. Thank you for your grace and patience as we get you through the line! As you may be aware we have partnered with CSCOE and Phoenix School Counseling. Part of this partnership is training designed for parents and teachers. Our teachers have the second of four pieces of training on the Nurtured heart approach this afternoon. Here is the webinar for parents . It’s a wonderful overview of what we are trying to accomplish here at Saint Rose. Exciting Enrollment news! Prior to the start of Christmas break, we will be getting information to you about registration for the 2022-2023 School Year. Yes, it is that time already! We want to give all our current families the opportunity to confirm your child's place in class before we open enrollment to all families in January. Please note that you actually will automatically be re-enrolled unless you tell us otherwise. Did you know that our enrollment in Pre-K to Grade 8 grade is at its highest level since 2012-2013? Thank you for your commitment to Saint Rose. It’s a very exciting time here! Watch for more information to come. Peace, Mr. Slaikeu COVID-19 Updates Current Phase: Phase 2 - This phase states that masks are not required during classroom time, but will be worn outside the classroom when moving throughout the building, and at large gatherings (including Mass) or places where social distancing is difficult. It is still recommended that students wear masks at all times, however, this phase allows students/families to choose to wear a mask within the classroom.

Adopt a Family This Christmas

Dear Saint Rose Families,In the spirit of holiday giving, Student Council hasdecided to organize an Adopt-a-Family program forthe third year. We have found five families that live inthe local community that need our help. Please think about whether or not your family wouldlike to participate in this service project. Each gradelevel (PreK-2, 3-5, and 6-8) will receive at least onefamily in need. Student Council will be collectingmonetary donations from each of these grade levels

Page 3: December 2, 2021 - mysaintrose.net

from November 29th - December 10th. Once alldonations are collected, Student Council will purchaseitems on each of the family’s wish lists. Please talk with your child about ways that he or shecan actively give something. We want this project to bemeaningful for the entire family. You might considerhaving your child do extra jobs to earn money todonate a gift or having them use some of theirallowance money. Please work out a plan that is rightfor your family. We think this will be a wonderfulservice project if we share a little of what we have withothers who are in need and put our school missioninto action.

Thank you!Student Council 2021 Members (Note: Project is not

required.)
