(Exodus 20:1) - Chapel Every Monday or Tuesday children will worship through songs and stories to learn Biblical truths. Songs, Bible stories, and special guests make this time a favorite for everyone. Additional Programs:TPCS offers classes for 18 months through

high school. Call us to explore all programs for your child.

Social/Emotional SkillsPositive self-image, verbal manners, taking turns, showing respect for others, respecting others’ personal space, creative play with others, smooth transitions, developing verbal skills, expressive language, and taking turns with others.

Language SkillsIdentifying colors, identifying body parts, developing a basic understanding of positional words, classifications according to use, building a knowledge of opposites and rhymes, identifying items that go together, and understanding cause/effect.

Listening SkillsFollowing a two-step direction, listening patiently, following stories/discussions, participating in songs and finger plays, identifying names of classmates, and repeating rhythmic patterns.

Math SkillsStudents will be able to count, recognize numbers, match quantities, recognize basic shapes, and display an understanding of more/less. They will be introduced to patterning, grouping, graphing and sorting.

Fine Motor SkillsStudents will display an understanding of correct grip of a writing object, draw a simple body, color appropriately for age, demonstrate good scissor grip, print first name, work puzzles, and trace simple shapes.

Large Motor SkillsStudents will be able to demonstrate jumping, walking on tiptoes, balancing on one foot, throwing and kicking a ball, pedal riding toys, and participate in group activities/games.

Daily Schedule

Classes are offered on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday beginning at 8:30 am. Families

may choose 3, 5, or 7 hour option on these days for their students. We also offer an optional third day on Fridays.

Opening Circle TimePraise time, weather, calendar, and

introduction to daily lesson.

Gross Motor Time/ P.E.Daily time in the large gross motor room or outside.P.E. is on Wednesday or Thursday, with age appropriate developmental activities.

Alphabet TimeEach week a new alphabet letter will be introduced with the sound and formation. Students work in their alphabet books and Bible student books.

Activity TimeDaily centers include math, music, science, language, sensory, dramatic play, small motor activities, and free art activities.

Music Time Music time explores music through song, movement, and rhythm.

Snack TimeEach child will take turns to share a snack, show and tell , and be the line leader.

Closing Circle TimeWe review the day through songs, stories, and activities.

Curriculum Highlights

I am Special - Each child shares that God made them and their family special.

God’s Colors – The children identify that God created all the colors and recognize them in His creation.

Nutrition/Our Body – We identify each part of our bodies and explain that God made us special. We introduce that God created food for our bodies and teach which foods are healthy.

Christmas – We learn that the birth of Jesus is the true reason to celebrate Christmas. Children will be able to tell the Christmas story!

Creation – We learn that God created everything--light, Earth, the sun, plants, animals, and people.

Shapes – Students name the basic shapes and are able to identify shapes around them.

Community Helpers – We identify helpers in our community and learn how they use their gifts to help us.

Easter – We learn that Jesus is the reason for Easter and how to tell the story of Easter.

Numbers – We name and recognize basic number concepts, 0 to 10.

Alphabet – Students are introduced to alphabet concepts through the ABC Bible Lesson Book, cooking activities, early science activities and stories.
