Dosimetrist tend to be generalists, but may specialize in certain populations ( Children, elderly, and Animals)

They may specialize in a particular cancer ( breast)

Most work in a large hospital and research centers

Cancer center Usually work 40 hours weeks

Certificate Training is 2 years for a

• Bachelor degree and a medical background or

• Require student to become a Radiation Therapy Technologists

No mandatory requirement for certificate

Must take CE each year to maintain certification and license
