he Christian *cholars made claim for the support of theirbelief as:+,e believe that -od united with Messiah

[Prophet .sa (pbuh)! and so Messiah is the son of -od and

we have come to $ou "/ Muhammad to see what $ou sa$about it' .f $ou accept our belief then surel$ our religion is

better than $ours' &nd if $ou disagree# then we will have

    debate and discussion with $ou'''0

    4/31

he Prophet (pbuh) said# +ou sa$ that the qadeem[eternall$ pree3istent! -od united with 4is son Messiah'

    *o# in other words# $ou are impl$ing that qadeem(-od)

became haadith[something with a beginning! because ofa haadith (%esus) and so haadith (%esus) became

qadeem# 5ust li6e -od is' [means that an eternal being

became contingent and the contingent became eternal!

    &fter debating with %ewish *cholars# the

Prophet (pbuh) turned towards the Christians

    and the conversation began

    "r ma$be what $ou mean b$ 7-od united with 4is

son/ is that -od speciall$ blessed him and did not

bless an$one with the same dignit$ and respect' *o#if b$ this $ou meant that qadeem-od became

    haadith# then $ou are completel$ wrong

  • 7/25/2019 Debate of Prophet Muhammad With Christians

    6/31

his is because it is impossible for a qadeem[eternall$ pree3istent! to become haadiththrough

    some revolutionar$ means' &nd if $ou sa$ that

haadithbecame qadeemthen this is also incorrect

    because# 5ust li6e how a qadeemcannot become

    haadith# a haadithcannot become qadeem

    &nd if b$ 7unit$/ $ou mean that -od speciall$ chose

him for 4imself and from among all 4is servants

onl$ chose %esus for this dignit$# then this meansthat $ou have admitted on hudooth[coming into

e3istence! of %esus for which -od united with him'''

8ecause when %esus became haadith [came intoe3istence!and then -od united with him# it means

    that he ac9uired 7characteristics/ b$ which he

became superior to all the creatures# then %esus

and the new 7characteristics/ are both haadith' &nd

this goes against all that $ou have said so far'0

  • 7/25/2019 Debate of Prophet Muhammad With Christians

    9/31

he Christians replied# +"h Mohammad ,hen

-od placed great miracles (which the whole world

    6nows) on %esus/ hands# then 4e made %esus 4is

    son to dignif$ and glorif$ him'0

he Prophet (pbuh) said# +ou 5ust heard what . said

    &fter listening to Prophet/s arguments# ever$one

was silent' 4owever# one person from among them

came forward and said# +"h Mohammad Do $ou

not sa$ that &braham [Prophet .brahim (pbuh)! is

    the Khalilof -od;0

  • 7/25/2019 Debate of Prophet Muhammad With Christians

    he Prophet (pbuh) replied# +es# we sa$ that'0

  • 7/25/2019 Debate of Prophet Muhammad With Christians

    13/31

he Christian man said# +.f &braham can be the

    7Khalilof -od/# then wh$ do $ou stop us fromsa$ing that %esus is the 7son of -od/;0

  • 7/25/2019 Debate of Prophet Muhammad With Christians

    14/31

he Prophet (pbuh) replied# +hese two things are not

similar# because when we sa$ &braham is the Khalilof -od#

we mean something different' .n realit$# the word Khalil

derives fromkhillat and khillatmeans 7needliness and

povert$/' *o# he is called Khalilbecause he onl$ needed

-od and he was totall$ cutoff from ever$thing of the world#

he onl$ trusted -od and onl$ as6ed 4im in time of need'

&nd his stor$ is that when his enemies decided to

throw him in the fire and placed him on the catapult#

-od sent angel -abriel [%ibreel! towards him and told

-abriel# +-o and help M$ servant'0 -abriel went to&braham and met him in air [while he was thrown

towards fire! and told him# +ell me what $ou want'

-od has sent me to help $ou'0

    &braham answered b$ sa$ing# +

    17/31

&nd if the meaning of khillatis ta6en as secretsthen it means that he 6new those secrets of -od

that no one else did# then Khalilwould mean

    7=nowledgeable of -od/ and 7=nowledgeable of 4is

divine affairs/ and on this basis# $ou cannot

    compare -od to 4is creatures'

  • 7/25/2019 Debate of Prophet Muhammad With Christians

    18/31

Can $ou not see that when there is no need

towards 4im# then he cannot be Khaliland similarl$#

if the 6nowledge of 4is secrets does not e3ist# then

he is again not a Khalil; 8ut if a person has a sonand he insults him or re5ects his son# even then he

cannot ta6e him out of his fatherhood because birth

    is a realit$

    .n addition# if -od/s said 7&braham is M$ Khalil/

based on this# it is incumbent upon $ou to call %esus

4is son# then it is also incumbent upon $ou to callMoses 4is son because he performed strange

miracles that were different from those of %esus'

hen# $ou will also have to sa$ that Moses

    (pbuh) is 4is son and 5ust li6e . told the %ews# $ou

can also call Moses (pbuh) 4is leader# uncle# bossand master'0

    &fter hearing this# the Christians started sa$ing

    each other that it is written in the 4ol$ 8ible that%esus said# +-o towards m$ and $our >ather'0

  • 7/25/2019 Debate of Prophet Muhammad With Christians

    22/31

he Prophet (pbuh) said# +.f $ou practice what is

    written in this boo6 [8ible# .n5eel! and if it sa$s# 7-o

towards m$ and $our >ather#/ then $ou will also have

to sa$ that all of those people to whom %esus wasspea6ing to when he said this [sentence! are also

-od/s sons and the$ were all -od/s sons on the same

basis as %esus was -od/s son'

  • 7/25/2019 Debate of Prophet Muhammad With Christians

    23/31

    &nd this 9uote from this boo6 [8ible! falsifies $ourclaim because $ou consider %esus as the son of

-od due to his special position and pro3imit$ to

    4im' %ust now# $ou said that we call %esus son of

-od because of his special status that -od has onl$

given him and not an$one else

  • 7/25/2019 Debate of Prophet Muhammad With Christians

    24/31

and $ou are also aware of the fact that this special

attribute was onl$ possessed b$ %esus and not the

    ones to whom %esus said# 7-o towards m$ and $our

    >ather'/ hus# this claim of $ours that -od made%esus 4is son because of his special attribute is

falsified because 7being a son of -od/ is also proved

for those who did not possess an$ special status'0

  • 7/25/2019 Debate of Prophet Muhammad With Christians

    25/31

+&nd is it not possible that $ou made a wrong

interpretation and e3planation of Prophet %esus/

    9uote and made a mista6e in understanding it;8ecause when he said# 7-o towards m$ and $our

    >ather/ he might not have meant what $ou thin6
