Dear Mayor:

For the past twelve months, the residents of the 46th ward have been askingquestions about JDL’s proposed development at the corners of Montrose andClarendon Avenues (otherwise known as the Montrose/Clarendon TIF district).

We want to know:How does this proposed development benefit the residents?Why does a developer need a subsidy to build market-rate housing?Where are the jobs that are specifically called for in the TIF designation?Why are we demolishing historically significant buildings?

Help us put an end to subsidies for the 1%, make our tax dollars greener, andraise the level of responsible development in our neighborhood. Dissolve theMontrose-Clarendon TIF district and reject the proposed JDL development NOW!
