Dearborn Specials / Arts & Recreation Enabling Program For nearly three decades, the Dearborn Recreation Department has sponsored the Dearborn Specials/Arts & Recreation Enabling program for adults with disabilities and their families and friends. All of the activities are hosted or instructed by Recreation Specialist Camille Gibson and take place at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center.
The Dearborn Specials dances are usually held on the second Tuesday of the month from 7-9 pm in the Hubbard Ball Room and feature a live D.J. Cost: $4, including refreshments. Tickets must be purchased at the Theater Box Office the day of the dance. The December Dance is on Tuesday the 9th.
The Dearborn Specials holiday craft nights are conducted on selective Tuesdays from 6:30-8:30 pm. Cost: $10, which includes snacks and all materials The Christmas Craft Night is on Tuesday, December 16th.
