Dear Fellow Producers,

We wish all of you a Happy New Year and hope that it is off to a

good start.

We invite you to our private treaty Bull Selection Day being held in

Miles City. We are looking forward to bringing the boys to town for

the Beef Breeders Show February 7th. We will have our entire bull

offering at the Miles City Livestock Commission and a few of the

bulls downtown on display. Our Bull Selection Day, like last year,

will follow on Saturday, February 8th.

A large portion of the bulls are sired by a bull recently added to the

Select Sires line-up, KJ HVH 33N Redeem 485T ET. This sire has

been adding thickness, volume, calving ease and maternal perfor-

mance in herds across the country and we have been pleased with

the results here. We have had the good fortune to purchase his full

brother to provide natural service in the pasture. KJ HVH 33N Re-

fresh 483T ET has given us uniformity in both his bull and heifer

calves.

Terms & Conditions: Terms of sale are cash. Announced

changes in catalog information sale day take precedence

over printed materials. All cattle are the buyer’s property as

soon as sold and will be cared for at the ranch of the seller

for a reasonable length of time (see Winter Feeding). Insur-

ance on your purchase is recommended. Any person at-

tending the sale does so at their own risk. Neither the own-

ers, Miles City Livestock Commission, nor any person con-

nected with the sale, assumes any liability, legal or other-

wise. Registration papers will be transferred upon request.

Winter Feeding: All bulls will return to the seller’s ranch

for winter feeding. Bulls will be cared for in a reasonable

manor and will be semen tested. Bulls will be ready for pick

up or delivery approximately April 1st, 2014.

Guarantee: Every animal in this sale is to the best of our

knowledge, free from disease or defect. Any known defects

will be announced or published prior to purchase. All ani-

mals are guaranteed breeders. If any animal fails to breed

after the first breeding season, it may be returned to the

seller, at the buyer’s expense, if in good condition and in

compliance with Montana health regulations. If the animal

proves to be a non-breeder, either an animal of comparable

rank will be substituted if available or credit will be given in

the following year’s sale less salvage value of the original

purchase.

Health: Health of this herds is excellent. All bulls selling

will pass a breeding soundness exam prior to pick up/

delivery. All bulls have been vaccinated with BoviShield

Gold 5 and 7 way. All bulls have been de-wormed. Individu-

al health papers will be furnished for out of state shipment.

Hereford Influence Feeder Calf Sale

The Hereford Breed has been seeing a significant demand for fed cattle influ-

enced by the breed. Packing companies such as National Beef have gone so

far as to run radio and print ads trying to source Hereford specific beef. There

is a tremendous opportunity that we don’t always access here in our region.

With this in mind we have coordinated the Hereford Influence Feeder Sale at

Miles City Livestock Commission. We have been in contact with feedlots and

buyers wanting Hereford based calves so that they may be able to source

them here. October of 2013 we held our third HIF at Miles City. We are excit-

ed to report that Hereford influenced calves topped the market with the high

selling steers bringing $207/cwt. Congratulations to the producers of a great

set of nearly 600 Hereford Influenced calves

We will be hosting another Hereford Influence Feeder Calf Sale at Miles City

Livestock in the Fall of 2014. If you are interested in participating or have

ers represent selection for our opti-

mum cow over the last 20 plus

years. From the ground up, we

have been particular about feet and

legs, udders, volume and capacity,

length of hip and front ends built for

calving ease. These heifers are

and Sheyenne. These heifers are

being offered Private Treaty.
