Our mission is to inspire and empower all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Complete and return the registration form with a $50 nonrefundable deposit per week to hold a reservation. Once registered, you will receive an email confirmation. Drugs, alcohol and weapons are prohibited at Camp Whitcomb/Mason. FACILITIES Camp Whitcomb/Mason consists of more than 300 acres of grasslands, forests, fields, and wetlands. At the center of Camp stands Meinerz Friendship Lodge, our dining hall and gathering place. Overnight campers stay in cabins with two counselors equipped with a fireplace and two sleeping areas with bunk beds. Common bath and shower facilities are centrally located. The day camp program operates out of the Stiemke Lodge on the northeast side of camp. Stiemke contains indoor facilities for the campers and is steps away from soccer fields, a volleyball court, basketball courts, a camp fire ring, forests, grasslands and the lake. STAFFING Staff members are carefully selected from colleges and universities across the country. All staff serve as role models and are committed to helping campers grow with quality programs and a philosophy that puts campers first. By keeping our staff-to-camper ratio low (1:8 or 1:10), we are able to offer a unique, safe and fun environment that sets us apart from other summer programs. The dedication, enthusiasm, professionalism and expertise that the staff exemplifies are what make Camp Whitcomb/Mason such a special place. LIT – AGES 14-15TWO-WEEK PROGRAM (JULY 6-10 & JULY 13-17)This two-week program involves teens in camp training, leadership activities, and assisting in cabins and program activities. Teens get a more inclusive taste of Camp and what it means to be a leader. LITs will stay overnight in a cabin, supervised by two Camp staff. Must be 14 years old by June 30.

JUNIOR COUNSELOR (JC) – AGES 16-17THREE-WEEK PROGRAM (JULY 20-14, JULY 27-31 & AUGUST 3-7)The final step in our Leader-In-Training program is three weeks long. Junior Counselors take on more responsibilities as their understanding between what it means to be a camper and what

it means to be a counselor grows. After a week of Camp training, the Junior Counselors will get a chance to try all program areas and shadow a cabin counselor. The last week, they will be grouped with a cabin. Must be 16 by June 30.

LEAP – AGE 13MINI SESSION (AUGUST 10-12)During this mini session of Camp, young teens can get an introduction to the LIT Program at Camp Whitcomb/Mason. Teens begin to understand the expectations of LITs and leaders. Our Leap teens experience different aspects of Camp and stay overnight in a cabin supervised by two Camp staff. Must be 13 by June 30.

LEADER-IN-TRAINING PROGRAM AGES 13-17 ▯Camp Whitcomb/Mason’s LIT Program is a comprehensive multi-week program that readies teens to captain camp activities while learning basic leadership skills to take with them at summer’s end. Teens will also be immersed in a variety of areas such as outdoor living skills that will give them a better understanding of a diverse environment.

Camp Whitcomb/Mason, accredited by the American Camp Association, offers a day camp, Monday through Friday, for girls and boys ages 7 to 13. Campers spend their days engaged in activities and interactions that foster self-confidence, personal growth and a sense of wonder and discovery. All prices include daily hot lunch, snack, program activities, field trips, supplies, staffing and a yearly membership to Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee.

Overnight camp sessions provide age-appropriate activities for children 7 to 13 years old. They will spend four nights in a gender- and age-separated cabin with two camp staff that will create a fun and memorable atmosphere. Campers will have a safe opportunity to learn about our environment and try new things such as canoeing, hiking, singing camp songs, arts and crafts, aquatic activities and big field games.
