Doctoral students must provide a brief (not to exceed 500 words) statement on how receipt of the

scholarship will advance your research activities in your doctoral program. Please submit to Office of

Special Program, G22 McKee or [email protected]. Please note that the doctoral recipient of this

award must submit a short reflection paper to the Office of Special Programs by the first week of May.

This paper should indicate the status of the recipient’s research at that point and how the funds were

used to help advance the research.

Undergraduate modern foreign language students must use the funds to study abroad at a foreign

university and provide documentation of study abroad intent. Please submit documentation to Office

of Special Programs in G22 McKee or [email protected].

Note: During fall of even years, the recipient of this scholarship shall be a doctoral student in ELF. During fall of odd

years, the recipient shall be an undergraduate in Foreign Language.

The Morrill Family Fund for Research in Education Scholarship

The proposals must involve research that relates to the improvement of teaching at any educational
