May 16, 2012 To Whom It May Concern: Northern Patriot Oil and Gas is focusing on a new Sylvan Lake Viking oil play which it was one of the first movers in the area. With only one other Viking horizontal in the area we decided to go with a much larger directional company for our first well. That well (4-3-38-1W5) was drilled in a relatively similar time frame to the offsetting wells and we we’re happy with the drilling results. Even though drilling went relatively smooth on the first well, on our second Viking horizontal (4-26-36-28W4) we decided to switch to Dynamic Directional Drilling. I was initially very encouraged by the high level of experience from not only the field hands they would be providing for us but also how professional and experienced their downtown team was. Dynamic exceeded our expectations and not only did we achieve one of the longest horizontal Viking legs in the basin (1710m) we also did it in two days shorter than our previous well using a very similar downhole configuration. Also, comparing it to the other horizontal Vikings in the area it is one of the fastest ever drilled. The Viking in this area can be structurally difficult with a relatively thin sand interval and Dynamic did an amazing job handling both those challenges. Dynamic’s efforts were well received by everyone who had the chance to work with them. Northern Patriot will be exclusively using their directional services on any future wells and saying that I would not hesitate to recommend Dynamic Directional Drilling to any other Oil and Gas company.
