Every day, throughout the Order, members

of the Knights of Columbus are making adifference. Unfortunately, our good works

are sometimes our best-kept secret. We want people throughout the countries where

the Order is present, to know about the hard work that Knights and their families do

make their communities better places. To help in this effort please submit your

activities to kofc.org/knightsinaction.

From the Desk of the Membership Director

Brothers, we had a very productive October.

We brought in 184 new members, a little short of our 250 goal but better than the

past months. We need to continue this momentum! The RID’s have done some

research and found that we have more than 300 prospects out there. And that is the

ones that responded to their requests. I would say we have more like 1000 prospects

in Ontario right now. As you read this challenge your council to recruit at least one

new member this month through your programs. It’s easy, it starts with a

conversation about how the program works

and who it benefits. Then you hit them with “Would you help us to keep this program

going in the future?” It is a great line! Then the process begins. Can we hit our 250 mark

this month? You bet we can! Check out the thermometer on the Ontario Website for

details daily. Also don’t forget the incentives! I have attached them again since

I keep getting questions about them. Keep the questions coming, that just means you

want to succeed this year.

REMEMBRANCE DAY November 11th

Canadians pause that day in silence to remember those who died in war and to pray for the victims of aggression and inhumanity throughout the world. This is a day to pray for peace, to consider what we are doing as individuals, as a community and as a nation to bring God’s peace into the world. This is a day when a believing community should rededicate itself by prayer and action to the ideals Jesus gives us in the Beatitudes.
