PR/SCS/11-01 DBW-1™ Encapsulated High Temperature Breaker Product Family No. H066911701 DESCRIPTION/APPLICATION: DBW-1™ is a delayed release oxidizing breaker, which gradually releases the oxidizer into the fracturing fluid to allow the break of the fluid to be delayed or higher breaker concentrations to be used. DBW-1 can thereby provide improved proppant transport and improved clean-up of the proppant pack. Since DBW-1 is a solid, the breaker will not be lost to the formation during fluid leakoff. DBW-1 can be used as the sole breaker or in combination with other breakers. Although loading requirements may vary from job to job, higher concentrations than a standard oxidative breaker can be used without compromising fluid viscosity during proppant placement. FEATURES/BENEFITS: Provides improved clean up of the proppant pack Higher concentrations may be used without compromising fluid viscosity Compatible with other breakers Cost effective APPLICATION AND DOSAGE: The loading for DBW-1 will vary according to job specifications, but will most commonly range from 1.0 to 4.0 lb/Mgal (120 to 479 g/cu meter) DBW-1 may be added in batch mix or on the fly applications. AVAILABILITY: DBW-1 is available in 50 gallon (189.3 liters) fiber drums. SHIPPING AND HANDLING: DBW-1 should be stored in a cool, dry place, and kept away from heat, sources of ignition, and combus- tible materials. DBW-1 should also be kept away from reducing agents, organic materials, metals, and moisture. A Material Safety Data Sheet outlining recommended safe handling of DBW-1 is available upon request, or will be forwarded upon the purchase of DBW-1. SPECIFICATIONS: Physical state and appearance Solid pH (1% solution/water) 4.5-5 Specific gravity 1.723 Bulk density 57-64 lb/cu ft (913.6 -1,025.8 kg/cu meter) Solubility Partially soluble in cold water Odor Slight acrid Color Off-white November 2001 SAND CONTROL SYSTEMS Fluid Pumping Services
