Mirroring of Control Files and Redo Logs. • Monitoring Tablespaces, Mount Points and archive logs on Daily basis • Resolving Tables fragmentation issues • Troubleshooting Database server performance issues by various methods. • Monitoring DR (Physical Standby Database) for any Log gaps and other issues. • Monitering the Dialy Backup jobs scheduled for database to tape through various tools like Hp data protector, Ca Archserver. • Preparing Checklist of various things like RAM & CPU Utilization of database Server, Gaps in DR, Backup report of servers. • Logging service requests with Oracle Support for reported issues and taking appropriate measures for resolution in consultation with support team. • Applying Patches simple, CPU's and PSU's using opatch utility o Installation of Oracle server and Client software, creating, upgrading and patching databases in UNIX (Solaris, HP), Linux and Windows environments o Configuration of Oracle NET listeners for connection between client user desktops and Server machine o Experience in Upgrade and Migration of oracle database to higher version (from Oracle 8i/9i and 10G) in multi platforms o System Administration activities like Creation of users, Assigning roles and responsibilities, setting profiles for users, privileges, table spaces etc o Working with the Development team to fix the problems related to database in their applications o Involved in UNIX tool administration tasks & Shell scripts o Administration of third party tools (plug ins) in oracle 11i like Kintana, Vistaplus and PVCS issues o Follow up with oracle product support through metalink for any issues those functional consultants raises, which require files, system log files. Etc o Developed automated scripts in UNIX to make sure that scheduled back up jobs of all instances are on schedule o Cleaning up of log files of different processes like Apache, concurrent mangers. o Procedures/functions/package moving and tickets solving with the users. o SFTP testing
