Valentine’s partyJoin us for a Valentine’s themed party in The Venue on Wednesday 14 February at 7pm. Enjoy themed entertainment and party snacks; entry £6; book early if you’d like to join us.
Come dancingTake to the dance floor every Thursday in our ballroom dance session starting in February.Hosted by Brightdays Age UK, the sessions will take place in The Venue from 2:30pm - 3:30pm. Enjoy dancing along to a selection of favourite tunes; cost £3.50 per session.
Dignity Action DayDignity Action Day is an opportunity for health and social care workers and members of the community to come together to provide a truly memorable day for people who use care services.

Afternoon teaEnjoy afternoon tea with your loved one in The Bistro on Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day.

Chair Yoga invites you to improve your mobility in a way that is soft and gentle but also supportive and beneficial.

Meet the team... Kelly Dickinson
Q: What is your role at Belong? A: Senior Support Worker on Tyldsley House.Q: What do you enjoy most about your work? A: I enjoy interacting with residents and engaging them in activity, whilst providing a high level of care and support. I also appreciate the level of training and support I receive, especially from my lead support worker, Caroline.Q: What are its hidden challenges? A: It’s a challenge, at times, to ensure my approach is always effective in meeting the fluctuating needs of customers to ensure they get the best from each day. Thankfully Belong’s person-centred approach makes things easier and can be very rewarding and beneficial to residents and staff as we work together to overcome this.Q: How do you like to unwind? A: I unwind at home with a cup of tea in my PJs watching the soaps with a good foot rub.Q: If you had to sum yourself up in three words, what would they be? A: Enthusiastic, bouncy and loyal.
Weekly activities...There is a regular programme of activities taking place throughout the week, in addition to those included in this newsletter, including book club, coffee mornings, arts and crafts, church services, knit and natter, exercise classes and many more.
