National Cadets Corps is one of the biggest voluntary organizations in India. It is functioning

under the direct control of Defense Ministry of India. NCC is divided in to Seventeen

directorates. Maharashtra Directorate is one of them. Strength of NCC unit of college is 54 SD; it

is under the 53, Maharashtra Battalion Latur. Cadets participated in different National level and

state level camps. Cadets of college continuously participated in National level camp such as

RDC, TSC and NIC from last six years. In this academic year our cadet Shyam Survase tried for

RDC-2019 but he fail to attempt this. His efforts make us proud for attending up to Inter Group

level camp (IGC-Aurangabad).

Thirty three Cadets were enrolled in the first year on July 09th 2018 to make a complete

strength of 54. As a part of institutional training, first, second year and third year cadets had 28

parades (60 Hours) of stipulated parades. I take pride in saying that our cadets representation and

performance in ‘B’ and ‘C’ Certificate Examinations has been outstanding.

We utilized Camp vacancies for the following camps organized at both state and national

level. The aim of these camps is to develop leadership quality among the cadets so that the cadets

acquaint themselves with army rules and discipline.

1. In the Academic year 2018-19 first CATC camp was held from 19th of August to 28th

of August at Bhabhalgaon. In this camp 21 cadets were participated.

2. The second CATC camp was held from 26th November to 5th December 2018 at

Bhabhalgaon. In this camp 05 cadets were participated.

3. Two cadets SUO Altaf Shaikh and Rahul More of our NCC unit were selected for

BLC (basic leadership camp) at Amravati held from 2ndJanuary to 11th January 2019.

The cadets also participated in different activities such as

1. At national level Interzonal Kho-Kho competition our SUO Altaf Shaik got Silver

medal;

2. Our Cadet Kajale Balaji has got Best Cadet Award in Babhalgaon CATC camp.

3. At Babhalgaon CATC camp our cadet Pramod Palnate got Gold medal in

Volleyball game.

4. The NCC cadets also presented dance in Annual function on a patriotic song from

film URI. The cadets also participate as volunteers in Annual function for serving

food to students and staff.


NCC activities:

1. International Yoga Day: Fifty cadets led by the ANO participated in the International

Yoga Day Celebrated at Mahatma Basweshwar Mahavidyalay Latur on 21st June 2018.

2. Enrollment: Sub Major Harichandra Shinde guided to NCC Cadet during first year Enrollment.

3. Tree Plantation: On 12th July tree plantation was done in our college under the guidance

of Respected Principal Dr.S.S.Solanke sir Physical director Dr Ashok Waghmare Sir,

NSS Programme Officer Dr.Sainath Umate Sir.

NCC Cadets successfully conducted Tree plantation program on

30thAugust 2018 under the guidance of our Comanding officer Col. M.P Singh and

Administrative officer Col. A.K Varma at Siddheshwar Temple Latur. All ANO and

cadets from JD and SD wing participated in this tree plantation programme.

4. Blood Donation: Twenty NCC Cadets donated blood in the Blood donation Programme

conducted on 10th August 2018.

5. Independence Day: Independence Day was celebrated with usual fervor and enthusiasm

on 15th August, 2018. In our Education society all colleges comes together and celebrate

Independence Day. The responsibility of making arrangements of Independence day is

given to NCC department of our college.The National Flag was unfurled by our Hon’ble

Shri.Laxmiraman Lahoti (President Dayanand Education Society Latur). On this occasion

Vice-President of Institute, Secretary of Institute, Principal, Vice-principal, NCC cadets,

students, parents and whole staff of our Dayanand Education society were present.

6. Swachta hi Seva: A Swachta Pakhwada was being celebrated in the entire country from

15thsept to 02 October 2018 culminating on Gandhi Jayanti. As per the Swachta hi Sewa

Schedule received from the 53 Mah NCC battalion the cleanliness programmes were

arranged.

i. On 15th of Sept 2018 Dr.Shivprasad Dongare EC Indian Commerce Association,

inaugurated Swachta hi Sewa event.

ii. On 19th of Sept Shramdan was done by NCC cadets at Vasangaon Village in Latur

District. The whole village area was cleaned up and the swachta oath was given to the

villagers.


iii. On 22nd Sept 2018 the cleanliness drive was undertaken by the NCC cadets. The Latur

Main bus stop was cleaned and the message of cleanliness was given to the MSRTC

employees. In this event many MSRTC employees were also participated voluntarily and

some social workers were also joined the campaign.

iv. On 25th Sept 2018 Cleaning of Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Park and Dr.Babasaheb

Ambedkar statue was done. The Latur Municipal Corporation employees and social

workers were also joined this cleanliness programme.

v. On 27th Sept 2018 Seminar the Swachata the way of Ahead was organised. The chief

speakers were deputy commissioner of Latur Municipal Corporation Vasudha Phad

Madam and Shri Sanjay Kamble Chairman Janadhaar Seva Bhavi Sanstha.

vi. On 29th Sept 2018 a Swachta awareness and Parakram divas rally was organized from

College to NCC Battalion office Latur.

7. Republic Day: Republic Day was celebrated with usual fervor and enthusiasm on 26th

January, 2019. In our Education society all colleges comes together and celebrate

RepublicDay. The responsibility of making arrangements of Republic day is given to

NCC department of Dayanand college of Science. The National Flag was unfurled by our

Hon’ble.Shri Laxmiraman Lahoti (President Dayanand Education Society Latur). On this

occasion Vice-President of Institute, Secretary of Institute, Principal, Vice-principal,

NCC cadets, students, parents and whole staff of our Dayanand Education society were

present.

Efforts may fail but never fail to make efforts says a famous quote. Our boys are training

hard so that our cadets represents at State and National level. I am sure our efforts will be

rewarded in the forth coming years. I wholeheartedly thank our President (Daynanad Education

Society), Secretary (Dayanand Education Society), Principal and Vice-Principal for extending all
