Brief Summary of Pathways in AustraliaBrief Summary of Pathways in AustraliaAustralian citizens including those overseas apply through a Tertiary Admission Centre (TAC).(TAC).

International students apply directly to the University of choice although UAC has now set up UAC and some other TAC’s (e.g. QTAC) are moving this way. Some TAC’s have a different process for International students within Australia and those outside Australia.different process for International students within Australia and those outside Australia. International IBDP students are still advised to apply directly to the University as well(concern about TAC’s inflexibility re. Diploma non-awardees). Use the electronic results requests service on IBIS.

All TAC’s and Universities accept IBDP students – DP needed for most - .competitive entry results in high cut-offs for top Universities. There is some access for non-successful DP or Certificate students although limited.

Not everyone you contact in Admissions knows about IBDP but key people do. Contact the Sydney Office for any assistance with entry to Australasian Institutions.
