“FLAPS AND GRAFTS” INSTRUCTIONAL COURSE

Reconstruction of eyelid and periorbital area using flaps and grafts is an art by itself. It can be daunting for residents-in-training and general ophthalmologists alike when encountering a wound defect that is bigger than the skin that is used to close it. This 2-hour instructional course aims to introduce participants to the most basic principles of doing flaps and grafts. They will get the opportunity to perform these techniques in practical sessions under specialists’ guidance. This course will also have practical tips and give a better understanding of open wound management.
