EL NIÑO’S EFFECTEl Niño took a toll on much of the nation this holiday season, leaving Americans wondering what just happened & why it was such a mild winter. Deadly tornadoes in Texas, unseasonably warm temperatures in New York City, & flooding throughout the Midwest were the result of the infamous El Niño, which ended up claiming more than 50 lives. These happenings are typically a sign of how things are going to go in the months that lie ahead. If this El Niño follows history, 2016 could be a crazy year from the early blooming of plants & flowers (which can influence the price of crops), to migratory birds’ flight patterns, to the spreading of infectious diseases, like the West Nile virus.

As the newest member of the Davis Wholesale Supply team, I would like to introduce myself...
