A Real Estate Relationship
Transactions for Realtors can be rela-
tively simple or very complex and can involve
a short period of time all the way to months
of planning and coordinating. Whether you
are buying or selling — or doing both at once
— we will discuss your goals and objectives
and prepare a plan.
Some clients are comfortable with technol-
ogy and we can email, share documents elec-
tronically, and you can research and search
homes and other real estate topics with tools
I provide as well as those available to the
general public.
Other clients are most happy with face-to-
face visits, phone calls and direct contact.
We’ll work those things out to meet your
needs right up front and keep you involved
and informed from beginning to end.
The first step is yours. Please get in touch
with me by phone or email.

Traditional Sales
Short Sales
REOs (Real Estate Owned)
Things may not be the same in real estate as the last
time you bought or sold even if it was here in Virginia 5
years ago.
In the past several years I have represented banks and
quasi-government organizations plus individuals and com-
panies selling foreclosed properties. Those REOs are still
coming on the market and may for some time into the
future. I can work with you on my listings and other
agents’ listings — the knowledge and skill dealing with
the banks and their contracts may be very helpful to you.
Short sales are transactions where a seller needs to sell
their home for less than they owe because the market
price has decreased since the seller purchased or refi-
nanced the home. There are some distinctly unique
parts to these transactions and whether you are buying
or selling, we should sit down and talk.
As I try to tell everyone, sometimes your options are
greater if we talk about your real estate situation early in
the game instead of at the last minute when the bank is
calling.
Traditional sales may be straightforward, but new lend-
ing practices, ever-changing Federal and State require-
ments are items I keep up on and deal with every day and
may be things that you only encounter once a decade.
I’m here to help.
1031 Starker Exchanges, Investors and
Landlords — or Even Second Homes
If you are buying and selling real estate at the beach or
in the mountains or even in the next town, I can help you
save money, make money, or protect your money.
Things do not remain the same
in the real estate market for
Northern Virginia. There are
swings in demand and changes in
price. But the market also
changes because of employment
shifts, Presidential administrations
and is affected by mood swings.
As a Realtor, I not only know the market, but
help guide you through it to a successful outcome.
Like your financial advisor, insurance agent, or fam-
ily attorney, I have a role and often it is in a major
way — a coordinator.
For some, I will be working with you, your loan
officer and your home inspector. For others I will
be working with you and your contractors for things
like touch up painting, flooring, or repairs. For still
others, I will be working with you and a specialist in
down-sizing, home organizing and staging.
For seniors, there are professionals that fill special
needs like elder care attorneys, active adult housing,
assisted living homes, long term care and more.
Frequently I am asked by family caregivers to
provide assistance and those family members may
be just across town or across the country.
