RADIOSHACK
STORE MANAGER – Ironbridge Plaza – Chester, Virginia Nov 2011 – Feb 2015
• Relocated the Chesterfield Meadows store to a new space in Ironbridge Plaza – this was 1 of 2 new concept stores to open in the Metro Richmond market.
• Successfully completed the build out and merchandising of the new store in time for Black Friday.
• Exceeded all profit expectations in the first year (fiscal 2012) before a steep decline company-‐wide. Outperformed most other stores in the market and many in the region.
• Ranked in the top 25% in the district (20 stores) for customer satisfaction scores in 2013 and 2014.
• Maintained inventory shrink within budget every year. Selected to lead the planning and execution of 16 inventory counts in the district.
• Selected by the district manager to on-‐board, train, and mentor 2 new store managers.
• Developed and promoted 2 assistant store managers to store manager for the district.
• Closed 3 stores and relocated 1 – completed every project on schedule and within budget.

• Selected to return to Chesterfield Meadows and turn around a store that was in complete disarray with a lack of stable and effective leadership, poor morale, and weak standards.
• Rebuilt the entire team, trained a new assistant store manager, and established higher standards in every area of merchandising, customer service, and operations.
• Surpassed all company expectations by generating positive comp sales increases (up to 5% over LY) for 7 consecutive months, including December 2010.
• Selected randomly by corporate office for a comprehensive audit of the entire inventory process in 2011 – met all expectations with zero errors found and no issues reported.
• Maintained inventory shrink well within budget.
• Developed and promoted a top assistant store manager to store manager in another location.
STORE MANAGER – Chesterfield Crossings – Chesterfield, Virginia Jan 2002 – Mar 2010
• Selected to take over and turn around a store that had been struggling since opening just 45 days before. Quickly rebuilt and trained the team and drove the store to top rankings.
• Generated considerable growth for the first 3 years – achieved 20% increases over LY for 11 of 12 months in 2003, and maintained a rapid pace throughout 2004 and 2005.
• More than doubled the store’s annual sales volume by 2005. Drove the store’s sales ranking from the bottom half of the district (22 stores) to the top 5.
• Ranked in the top 5 in the district for Verizon wireless unit sales, a key focus for the company at the time. Recognized with the “Platinum Players Award” for outstanding results.
• Received many other awards for sales and overall performance including President’s Council and Leader’s Club awards and frequent “Store Manager of the Month” awards.
• Increased the store’s profit contribution every year for 7 straight years, beginning with remarkable 25% increases over LY for 11 of 12 months in 2003.
• Maintained inventory shrink well within budget every year. Selected by the district manager to oversee many inventory counts in other stores based on success in this location.
• Scored a minimum of 90% on internal operations audits.
• Oversaw the remodeling of the store into a new prototype – 1 of only 3 in the market.
• Selected to on-‐board, train, and mentor 8 new store managers for the company from 2006-‐2010.

• Turned around an underperforming location and drove it to new heights by rebuilding the team, overhauling all merchandising processes and planograms, and setting higher standards.
• Established very strong relationships with the retail customer base and commercial/government accounts, resulting in consistent sales and profit growth over LY.
• Selected by the district manager to lead a major 4-‐day weekend outdoor clearance event for all 30 stores in the district. Spearheaded a pricing strategy that was highly successful.
• Oversaw the renovation of this store and relocation of 2 others in the district – completed every project on schedule and budget, with the new stores exceeding opening projections.
• Developed and promoted an assistant store manager to store manager in another location.
Awarded “Rookie Manager of the Year” in a previous location.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Experience with POS, HR, and scheduling software including Fujitsu Global Store POS, PeopleSoft, and Infor Workforce Management Scheduling. Served as district captain for the installation of 3 new POS systems.
