Family Fun Day - On Sunday Parents’ Club organised a social gathering at Oz Tenpin Star Bowl. Thanks to Melissa Thompson and her staff for supporting the day and providing a barbeque lunch with funds going to ‘Give Me 5 For Kids.’ It was lots of fun and was well supported by our families. $474.00 was raised for our school through the ‘Fun Day’ raffle. Congratulations to our raffle winners:

$200 Rebel voucher - Larfield family.

$100 Rebel voucher - Rhonda Osborne.

$50 Rebel voucher - Hunt family.

Today students had their photos taken. Everyone did a fantastic job waiting

patiently in the cold. Thank you to Jarod and the MSP photography team for making this a smooth process. We look forward to seeing the final product! If you have forgotten to order your photos, you have one week to order these online through the msp.com.au website.

Tomorrow, Tayah and Edie are heading to Winton to compete in Regional Cross Country. These girls both train really hard and should be congratulated on their effort for making it to this level! You are both great representatives for Kialla Central. Good luck girls!

Jump Rope for Heart - This Friday the 23rd June, will see students participate in Jump Rope for Heart. Students can wear something red to show their support for the Heart Foundation. Junior School Council have organised the official “Jump off” activities between 9:00-11:00am. Please hand in your

sponsorship forms and money to the

office by Friday. This will allow Mrs Irwin time to get to the bank! Thank you.

Mrs O’Donnell is back! She will be

working in the 4/5/6 room on Tuesdays and Thursdays and teaching Design and

Technology across all year levels for the remainder of the term. Mrs O’Donnell will also be back in term 3 teaching in the F/1 room.

Student’s Semester One reports go home this Friday. The staff work really hard to ensure that your child’s report is

personalised and is a true indication of their academic progress. Thank you to all staff on the time and effort they put

into the entire reporting process. We hope you enjoy celebrating your child/ren’s achievements. Enclosed in your child’s report will be a confirmation letter for Parent/Teacher interview times.

We have done our best to accommodate your preferred time, however, if for some reason your time doesn’t suit, please contact your child’s teacher to see if an alternative can be arranged. Interviews are on Thursday evening 4pm-7pm or Friday 9am –1pm, with a 15 minute time allocation per student.

Building works— As you are all aware the school’s shade structure is scheduled to be built over the holidays. Therefore, our school will

be a construction site and not accessible. Please do not use our school grounds or facilities during this time as it will be a safety hazard! We cannot wait to see the end product.

There seem to be a few nasty bugs lurking around the school. We have had lots of sick children recently. Thank you to those parents that contact the school when your child is away. Children are reminded to wash hands and cover mouths when coughing.

Finally, a big thank you to all staff for the assistance you have given in the absence of Miss H.

Miss H is currently in Dublin and all reports are that she is having a fantastic

time! I’ll do my best to get a photo for next week’s newsletter.

Mitchell Zito Acting Principal of K.C.P.S.

K.C.P.S. Footy Tipping Competition 2017 Talking Footy with Mrs O

Round 13 Wrap

This week saw a tough tipping round with most struggling to get more than three. This week saw byes for Adelaide, Collingwood, Essendon, Fremantle, GWS & Hawthorn. Round 13 kicked off with the 4th Thursday night game between the Eagles and the Cats. Conditions were quite OK in Subiaco with the Eagles getting home with the points, winning by 13.

Friday night saw the Saints overcome the Kangas by 17 point at Etihad.

Saturday saw the Tigers take on Swans at the MCG and needless to say you wouldn't want to be a Tigers supporter because this choking seems to be a problem of late. I wonder if those true supporters will still pick them? Swans were the winners by 9 points. Port Adelaide played the Lions at Adelaide Oval with Port the winners by 40 points. Last game for Saturday was Gold Coast playing Carlton at Metricon Stadium with the Blues winning by 10 points. Sunday saw the Western Bulldogs play Miss B’s team the Demons. Demons played with lots of style and ran over the Western Bulldogs by 57 points.

Footy Tipping Star of the Week – Tiger Trouble was the pick of the tipsters scoring 6 out of 6 -great effort! Next with 5 winners were: Bob the Builder & Wizard. This was followed by a number of tipsters with 4.

Footy Tipping Ladder Leaders – for Round 13 are: Tiger Trouble leads the tipping on 65 followed by Specky Magee & Wizard on 62. A number of tipsters are all sitting on 61 they are: Crazy TC’s, Digger’s Rooboys, Greymouse, Little Bomber, Magic Magpies, Patsi M, Rocket, Saint C & Two Tigers. Following closely behind on 60 Bob the Builder, Pie Time & The Big Bomb.

So fellow footy tipper I hope you have your best tipping lined up for the next round as we have quite a substantial jackpot! Will it go off?

Our Jackpot for Round 14 will be $196.90 providing all tipsters are financial, well worth winning!!!

Good tipping everyone!
