Rhonda had a further huge surprise when she received a very presgious award herself. She received the QAST 20th Anniversary Award for Outstanding Commitment to School Communies, she was presented with a beauful plaque. Congratulaons Rhonda and thank you for the 25 years you have worked at our tuckshop with such passion for our children having the opportunity to access healthy food. We have completed our school internal review in consultaon with the QSR Team including a range of school and community stakeholders. Thank you so much to the parents who put their hand up to be part of the QSR team. The outcomes of the School Improvement Review has also been considered in our quadrennial school review and long term planning. We are now compleng our Strategic Plan which reflects the strategies and acons idenfied by the school in response to the findings of the team. It will outline where we want to be in 4 years’ me and how we will get there. On Monday we will present our findings and illustrate our process to the Assistant Regional Director. He will also consider our Strategic Plan that highlights our direcon for the next 4 years. We have sought feedback from parents, staff and students to inform our plan and ensure that it is relevant to all stakeholders and ensure the Strategic Plan is enacted within an environment of collaborave partnership with a common goal of ensuring all our students are achieving the very best they can every day. Thank you to all the parents who get their children to school every day on me. There has been a definite improvement in children being able to access prime teaching me. TALKING TUCKSHOP Many thanks to Amanda, Lina and Nadine for looking after the Tuckshop in my absence. Last Friday we celebrated Tuckshop Day. Mrs Biasi decorated the front of the Tuckshop which looked really great. Thank you to Mrs Biasi and the students who wrote such nice notes to say why they think their Tuckshop Rocks. Also, thank you to those students who popped into the Tuckshop to say thank you, it was really appreciated. This school year we have had four Discos which I am sure all students attending have enjoyed. I would like to thank all the parents/carers who took the time to help out with the Sausage Sizzle, set-up and clean-up—a job well done! Thank you so much. Tuckshop Volunteers, please remember the Tuckshop Dinner will be held this Saturday 14 November. If you have forgotten to let me know you are coming, please do so tomorrow without fail as I have to confirm the numbers with the restaurant. All Tuckshop Bags must be in before school

each morning. If you forget to order Afternoon Tea, you may do so at Big Lunch. A volunteer is urgently wanted for this Thursday’s Tuckshop. Please let me know if you are able to help out.

Thank you for your help everyone. Mrs Byers—Tuckshop Convenor

Hello Ingham SS community

Christmas is just around the corner and it seems with the closer this festive holiday comes the more insanely busy we become. Whilst busyness itself isn't wrong and is sometimes unavoidable, busyness can rob us of happiness and moments of fulfilment. I know I fall in that trap myself. I'm going to share few techniques that help me keep the business worry away. Count to 10- When everything is piling up on you and you feel like your going to explode. Stop, close your eyes (if safe to do so) and slowly count to 10. While you are counting concentrate on your breathing. When you open your eyes look around and take in your surrounds.

Be Present - Thinking ahead is not a bad thing but living ahead robs us of what is happening around us in the present. Make sure you are addressing what is in front of you first and fully.

Plan your rest and fun - Downtime may seem like the last thing you need to get everything in a busy day done, but the truth of the matter is our body and our mind needs downtime to rejuvenate. When you rest or relax switch off your work phone, your emails and anything else work related.

Remember that what is happening in the now and present should always take precedent to what is coming up regardless how important it is.

Have a fantastic week………...Josh

VIOLIN NEWS

All Year 2 students have been given a letter to take home regarding learning the violin in 2016. If your child is interested in learning next year, please fill in the application at the bottom of the letter and please return to the School Office by Tuesday 17th November.

Year 2 students who are considering learning the violin next year are invited to attend the concert on Tuesday 17th November so they can hear and learn more about the violin from this year’s students.

This year's violin students are busy practising for the End of Year Concert on Tuesday 17th November at 7 pm in the Activities Hall.

Please help with seating on the night by returning the bottom part of the letter that has gone home.

Violin lessons will finish in week 7 after the concert on 17th November. The Year 3’s who are using school violins will return the instruments to Mrs Wright after playing at the concert.

Regards Mrs Lynda Wright (Instrumental Music Teacher)
