NOTICE TO PROPOSERS: This Addendum forms a part of the Contract Documents and modifies the original proposal documents dated June 8, 2020 as noted below. Acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in the space provided on the Proposal Form. Failure to do so may subject Proposer to disqualification. This Addendum consists of 2 pages & 3 attachments:
Architectural 1 page (8-1/2” x 11”) & 1 sheet (11”x17”) Pre-bid Sign-in Sheet 2 pages (8 ½ x 11”) MEP 3 pages (8 ½”x11”) & 2 sheets (30”x42”)
Item 1: See attached sign-in sheet from mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting. Item 2: Assume that all asbestos materials have been removed from both buildings. Refer to spec Section 02 4111 if suspicious materials are encountered.
SPECIFICATIONS
Item 3: Section 01 2000 - Allowance, Alternates & Payment Procedures 1.4 Allowances; K. Allowance Schedule: Add the following: 4. Site perimeter fencing Allowance: Allow a lump sum of $2,100 for approximately 588 linear feet of 6’-0” temporary construction fencing.

1.6 Alternates; C. Schedule: Revise Alternate #5 to read ‘Not Used’ in lieu of ‘Paint existing concrete paving at building ‘A’.

DRAWINGS Item 5: Sheet A0 - Building Code Analysis
1) Applicable Building Code is the 2015 International Existing Building Code in lieu of the 2015 International Building Code. This project is a Level 3 Alteration.
2) Energy Code: Section 908 - Energy Conservation of the 2015 IEBC states that Level 3 Alterations are “... permitted without requiring the entire building or structure to comply with the energy requirements of the IECC …”
Item 6: Sheet A1.0/01 Demolition Site Plan – Base Bid & Alternate #1 Demolition keyed note on the south side of Building ‘A’ to be Note #01 in lieu of #16. Item 7: Sheet A2.0/02 & Keyed Note #29
Clarification: The intent of the spray foam insulation is to prevent air infiltration & close off gaps between the bond beam, roof joist & roof deck at the cmu addition on the north side of Building ‘A’.
Item 8: Sheet A2.0/05, 06, 07 & 08 Building ‘A’ Elevations
Clarifications: 1) The intent of the note “Paint existing canopy & soffit” is to prep the existing fiberglass
canopy for new paint, including the removal of the remaining plastic lettering from the old bookstore.
2) On the north elevation, the existing painted face brick requires prep & new paint similar to the painted cmu.
3) The note “Existing ptd. cmu. Prep for new paint” also applies to the painted cmu on the east elevation.
Item 9: Sheet A2.1/04 Roof Plan Alternate #1 & 05 Section Detail Revise roofing note as follows:
Single-ply roofing system on ¾” insulation board on 1/8” tapered insulation board on minimum 1 ½” rigid insulation on existing deck. Field verify existing deck has an existing slope of 1/8” per foot for a total slope of ¼” per foot.

1. PLUMBING CONTRACTOR SHALL REFER TO
ARCHITECTURAL PLANS FOR A.D.A. PLUMBING FIXTURE
AND STANDARD MOUNTING HEIGHTS.
2. PLUMBING CONTRACTOR TO COORDINATE ALL PIPING
ROUTING ABOVE WITH MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL
CONTRACTORS BEFORE INSTALLING.
3. ALL VALVES SHALL BE INSTALLED NO HIGHER THAN 2'-0"
ABOVE THE CEILING. ACCESS DOORS TO BE INSTALLED
AT ALL HARD CEILING LOCATIONS.
4. ALL PIPING PENETRATIONS SHALL BE SLEEVED.
COMPLETELY GROUT AROUND OUTSIDE OF SLEEVE AND
FILL SLEEVE VOID AROUND PIPE WITH FIBERFRAX
FYRE-PUTTY.
5. AT ALL DISSIMILAR METAL CONNECTIONS, PROVIDE AND
INSTALL DIELECTRIC UNIONS IMMEDIATELY TO MINIMIZE
USE OF GALVANIZED PIPE MATERIAL.
6. PLUMBING CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH THE
MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR MOUNTING HEIGHTS OF ALL
AIR HANDLERS TO GUARANTEE POSITIVE DRAINAGE OF
ALL CONDENSATE DRAINS (1/8" PER FT. SLOPE -
MINIMUM).
7. MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE TO THE
PLUMBING CONTRACTOR THE RECOMMENDED AC
MANUFACTURERS' DATA FOR CONDENSATE TRAPS PER
EACH TYPE OF UNIT.
8. PLUMBING CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE TRAP GUARDS TO
ALL FLOOR DRAINS AND OPEN SITE DRAINS.
9. DO NOT INSTALL PLUMBING VENTS WITHIN 10'-0" OF ANY
ROOFTOP UNITS OR FRESH AIR UNITS / INTAKES.
COORDINATE WITH MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR.
10. MOUNT A.D.A. FLUSH CONTROLS TO WIDE SIDE OF STALL.
11. ALL CONCEALED EXISTING PIPING SHOWN IS BASED ON
