GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR PMTE EXAMINATIONS 1. The PMTE examination for the first module is scheduled for 15th – 17th May, 2014. Time-table for the examination is available on the Institute’s website. 2. The examination Centres are as follows -

(i) Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology, Ibadan, Oyo State (ii) University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State (iii) University of Benin, Edo State (iv) University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State (v) University of Abuja, FCT (vi) Federal University, Dutse, Jigawa State (vii) University of Maiduguri, Borno State Candidates are advised to go to any Centre closest to them.

3. Candidates must have completed the six months mandatory training and mentoring period under their

supervisors before registering for the examination for each module. 4. The examination fee for each module is sixty thousand Naira only (N60,000.00). Note: There shall be no refund of examination fee once paid. 5. Registration for the examination is online on the Institute’s web portal, through the following procedures:-

(i) payment of examination fee of sixty thousand Naira only (N60,000.00)can only be made online through the use of debit cards i.e. Master Card, Verve Card or bank payment though E-Transact platform.

(ii) log on to the Institute’s web portal with your username and password already given to you..

(iii) complete the examination registration forms online as provided.

6. The closing date for registration of candidates for the first module of PMTE examination is 15th April, 2014. Note: Late registration for the examination will not be entertained. 7. Examination for each module comprises of three (3) papers as follows:- (i) Paper I - Theory on the subject area to cover course content of module I as provided in the PMTE handbook. (ii) Paper II - General Laboratory Technique to cover course content of module I. (iii) Paper III - Practiccals to cover course content of module II. 8. Candidates are expected to pass the three papers for each module before proceeding to the next module of the PMTE programme. 9. Candidates who fail any or all the papers in any module shall have an opportunity for ONLY one resit examination.
