• The SEN/LDD self-evaluation framework can be downloaded from www.standards.dcsf.gov.uk/primary/features/inclusion/sen/self-eval

• LA personalised version with LA data was sent to each LA SEN/LDD Lead Contact in January.

• SEF can be accessed through National Strategies LA.

Assessing LA performance – National Indicators (NIs)

• 1200 indicators reduced to single set of 198 NIs – 04/08

• Annual publication of LA performance on each NI• Local Strategic Partnerships to agree up to 35 NIs as

part of new Local Area Agreements (LAAs)• Plus 17 statutory targets on attainment and early years• Three SEN NIs – one for 26 weeks assessment, two

for the SEN/non-SEN gap (attainment: KS2 and GCSEs)
