• This Spring, District 34 was selected as a Field Test Site for the PARCC assessment to be given between March 24th and April 11th.

• AUGS Grade 6 – 2 classes of ELA (3 sessions each) • AUGS Grade 7 – 2 classes of Math (2 sessions each) • AUGS Grade 8 – 2 classes of Math (2 sessions each) • Oakland Grade 4 – 2 classes of Math (2 sessions each) • Petty Grade 4 – 2 classes of ELA (3 sessions each)

• Total of 10 classes, 24 sessions • All schools, including the field test schools will still

participate in ISAT testing

• Aligning curriculum to meet the rigor of the Common Core State Standards

• Using data to drive instruction (Matrix Data Warehousing)

• Creating common assessments for grades 2-8 in ELA and Math

• Exploring how to integrate technology into our assessments

• Increasing the amount and variety of technology in the buildings along with providing professional development on how to use it with students
