CARA Launches New Data Distribution Facility October 11th 2012
Do you want to populate your website and market your listings on multiple third party websites from one
convenient location? Imagine updating your listing in one location and the additional websites you use to market will
automatically be updated with current, accurate information. The new Data Distribution Facility, operated by CREA
provides this functionality.
A strictly online service, “the DDF expands your access to a national pool of listings, gives you control over where your
listings go, and helps you drive and measure traffic to your listings”, all from one convenient location called the
“Dashboard”.
Through the Dashboard, Members decide if they want access to all three components of the DDF: a National Shared
and Franchisor Pool; Member Website Feed; and Third Party Destinations. Your decision will allow you to access a
shared pool of listings from across the Country and provide you with a website feed to “effortlessly and automatically
update and refresh the listings on your website.” You also have the choice to upload your listings to many popular
third-party websites, which will be updated automatically, ensuring consistent, branded and accurate listings. You will
have access and the ability to select the DDF components which you want to participate in, all via the convenience of
one online location on REALTORlink.ca.
Access to the Dashboard, pictured below, including all features of the DDF will be available October 15th through
REALTORlink.ca
Where do I go to start using the DDF?
To access the Data Distribution Facility Dashboard and training center simply log onto
REALTORlink.ca and click on this button, available October 15, 2012.
The training center (pictured below) contains informational and instructional videos to help
you get started. The training center also features previously recorded webinars and other
documentation to help you.
If you are a visual learner and need more instruction register for a webinar tailored for
Brokers and Associates instructed by CREA IT Department.
When you visit the website be sure to click on the blue tabs for more helpful information.
The training center is designed to answer any questions you may have. To make things a little bit easier, we’ve attached
some additional information explaining the DDF and the 10 decisions Brokers need to make.
