DEMOLITION
1. REMOVE AND DISPOSE OF ALL ROOF MEMBRANE, COVERBOARD, DRIP EDGE, FLASHING, AND DAMAGED ROOF EDGEBLOCKING.
2. PREPARE ROOF SURFACE TO REMAIN TO RECIEVE NEWINSULATION, COVERBOARD AND MEMBRANE.VERIFY DECKSTRUCTURE (ASSUMED TO BE 3" GYPSUM TILE) AND INFORMARCHITECT IF DIFFERENT.
3. ROOF DEMOLITION TO BE COMPLETED IN PHASES IFREQUIRED. ONLY REMOVE ROOF AREA THAT CAN BE EITHERREPLACED OR TEMPORARILY COVERED. TEMPORARYCOVERING TO ENSURE BUILDING IS WATERTIGHTTHROUGHOUT CONSTRUCTION. ANY INTERIOR DAMAGE DUETO LEAKS IN TEMPORARY COVERING WILL BE THERESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR.
4. ALL EDGE COPING TO BE REMOVED.
5. ROOF PENETRATION AND FIXTURE LOCATIONS SHOWNARE APPROXIMATE ONLY. TO BE FIELD LOCATED ANDIDENTIFIED BY CONTRACTOR.

NEW INSTALLATION
1. ROOF TO BE FULLY ADHERED .060 EPDM MEMBRANE OVERMECHANICALLY FASTENED FIBERGLASS-REINFORCEDPOLYISOCYANURATE COVERBOARD (1/2" ISOGARD HD ORSIMILAR) FASTENED WITH 3" PLATES AND SCREWS ASREQUIRED TO ENSURE FM 1-90 ADHERENCE. BASIS OFDESIGN IS POLYMER SCREWS AND PLATES WITH MIN 2"EMBEDMENT FOR GYPSUM TILE DECK. ALTERNATE ATTACHMENT (ROOFNAV ASSEMBLY262899-0-0 FULLY ADHERED) - INSULATION ANDCOVERBOARD FULLY ADHERED WITH FIRESTONE TWINPACK, ISO STICK OR TWIN JET ADHESIVE (OR OTHERAPPROVED SYSTEMS).
2. INSTALL NEW 5" POLYISOCYANURATE INSULATION OVERENTIRE ROOF SURFACE. NEW INSULATION WILL MEETCURRENT IECC R-30 REQUIREMENT.
3. 12 FASTENERS PER COVERBOARD OR AS REQUIRED TOMEET MANUFACTURER'S REQUIREMENT FOR FM 1-90 UPLIFTCOMPLIANCE.
4. CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBLE FOR WORK REQUIRED TOREMOVE AND REPLACE ANY EXISTING ROOFTOPEQUIPMENT. COORDINATE ANY SERVICE INTERRUPTIONWITH CLIENT AT LEAST 72 HOURS IN ADVANCE.
5. VERIFY POSITIVE SLOPE TO ALL ROOF DRAINS ANDGUTTERS - PROVIDE TAPERED INSULATION AS REQUIRED TOMEET 1/4":1'-0" SLOPE. PROVIDE CRICKETS AS REQUIRED TOENSURE POSITIVE SLOPE AT PARAPET WALL RETURNS.
6. ALL NEW EXPOSED METAL AND ACCESSORIES TO MATCHEXISTING (DARK BRONZE) WHERE APPLICABLE.
