God dropped a dream in our hearts to pioneer a church in the Milwaukee Metro Area in July of 2009. Since then God has developed that dream into a beautiful vision He is ready to bring into existence. We have prayed and we have fasted. We have been given clear instruction with a distinct mission.

MILWAUKEE is a city like no other.

It boasts with some of the greatest eclectic traditions that no other city can offer. The Milwaukee Metro Area is a deeply religious region, however the traditions of man have replaced the heart of God.

It is one of the top 9 segregated cities in the US. With 83% of the people in the Milwaukee Metro Area NOT attending a Christian Evangelical Church and 43% not attending a church AT ALL.

Austin and Ashley believe God’s heart is broken for this area and He wants to restore unity and bring healing to this community.

AUSTIN & ASHLEY have a heart for people to encounter Jesus and be transformed by his love. The couple met at Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL in 2008, were married in 2010, and welcomed their daughter, Arya, into their family in 2015.

Ashley has served in many capacities within the church. She is a gifted leader with skills in communication, teaching and organization. She has a B.A. degree in Secondary Education. She is currently the Correlations Specialist for Apex Learning.

Austin has served in multiple roles in ministry since 2004 ranging from Student Pastor, Media Pastor, Associate Pastor, Interim Pastor and is now ready to step into the role of Lead Pastor.

Austin is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. He is an influential leader with skills in communicating, team building, and disciple making.

Phase 1 - Groundwork:August 2016 - February 2017

- Recruit key families and individuals to move to Milwaukee

- Develop partnerships with individuals, churches, and networks in Milwaukee

- Develop prospectus and documents

- Develop administrative support and accountability systems

- Secure support structures: church and network partnerships, prayer teams, and financial support team- Begin fundraising

- Visit various churches to learn

- Determine strategic locations for team members to live

- Move to Milwaukee

Phase 2 - Pre-launch:March 2017-August 2017

-Recruit and develop Launch Team (Goal 75 people)

-Recruit, build and cultivate relationships with partners

-Visit various churches to learn

-Engage community by servant evangelism, participating in community planned events, building relationships and conducting surveys

-Build relationships with various leaders in the community (i.e. mayor, school officials, other church leaders, chamber of commerce)

-Continue Fund Raising

-Establish web, social media and community presence

-Develop internship to develop leaders and invest in church leaders

-Begin seeker groups in various locations

-Secure meeting location

-Develop strategic processes for preview services and launch day

-Buy necessary equipment

-Plan and conduct preview services (June, July and August)

-Celebrate preview services

-Continue to develop and grow launch team

-Develop and implement community-wide marketing strategy

-Recruit and develop strategic leaders and volunteers for various areas (guest services, assimilation, children, music)

OUR PARTNERS

Association of Related Churches: The mission for the association of related churches church planting network is to work with church planters and church leaders to provide support, guidance and resources to launch and grow life giving churches. They have certified Horizon Church as one of their church plants and have agreed to match dollar for dollar (up to $50,000) for every dollar we raise to reach our budget.

Our dream for Waukesha is to reflect Christ and make the greatest impact possible with our lives.  One major way we want to give back as a church and influence our community is through helping foster care students as they transition from foster care into adulthood by walking with them to help create a life for them so that they can reach their fullest potential. We call it the Champion House.
