Activity Name:-Basic maintenance: Stock taking on digitization of office records/e-office

implementation Cleanliness drive including cleaning of office, corridors

and premises. Review of progress on weeding out old records, disposing of

old and obsolete furniture’s junk materials and white washing/painting.

Institute wise progress report as follows:

ICAR- Central Avian Research Institute Bareilly Uttar Pradesh:

The initiatives of digitization of data have already been initiated. The overall stock regarding

digitization of data was taken into account. Overall about the records of about 80% staff (G&C,

Establishment and stores Section) including 100% records of scientific staff have been digitized.

However, the records of Audit Section and ephemeral nature records of the whole institute is

bulky record, therefore it is being digitized selectively. The weeding out of records is also in

progress. The obsolete records in different divisions/section have been identified and

divisions/section-wise lists of G&B Section, Bill and Cash Section, Establishment, Stores, have

been prepared. The discard material and unserviceable items like furniture, cages, equipments

etc. have been worked out and process for the auction of these materials in the end of financial

year is started. The white washing of different buildings/ sheds is also in process; materials for

the work have been procured. Cleanliness drives in different divisions / sections and buildings

have been going on daily basis.

ICAR- National Institute of High Security Animal Disease, Bhopal:

In today’s shramdaan, a cleanliness drive was carried out in the administrative building of

the institute. During the drive, the constituted committee reviewed the progress made in the

digitization of office records and also cashless transactions in the official works. Regular

cleaning including removal of spider-webs, dusting etc. was also carried out in the building and

all the participants actively contributed in these activities with full zeal and enthusiasm.

A cleanliness drive at the administrative building of the institute

ICAR-National Institute of Abiotic Stress Management, Baramati:

As a part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan ‘Swachhata Pakhwada’ has observed at ICAR-NIASM,

Baramati on 17th December, 2018. Today 36 persons including scientists, technical, administrative,

contractual staffs, research fellows and young professionals of our institute were participated in

cleaning the premises of administrative office building. During cleaning process polythene waste,

noxious weeds like Parthenium and waste scraps were collected and main focus were given to make

the institute campus plastic waste and Parthenium free. The cleaning were started from both sides of

administrative building in two different groups and then spread to the backside area.

Activity during ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’

ICAR-National Research Centre on Yak, Arunachal Pradesh:

Display of Banner on 17th Dec., 2018 at ICAR-NRC on Yak, Dirang and briefing of the activities to be

organized during the Swachhta Pakhwada w.e.f. 16th to 31st Dec., 2018.

ICAR- Indian Institute of Farming Systems Research, Modipuram:

On 2nd day (17.12.20180) of Swachhta Pakhwara programme was organized in the Institute

(ICAR-IIFSR, Modipuram). Under this programme weed out all the old office records

/unserviceable items, old tools /implements from the stores, cleaning of gunny bags, containers

from the go downs, cleaning sounding areas of go downs also and vehicle workshops of the

institute was also cleaned. During cleanliness drive/compagain programme in the institute

scientists, technical officials and farm laborers were actively participated and collect the waste

materials for their proper disposal in the compost pits etc.

ICAR-Indian Institute of Water Management, Bhubaneswar:

The staff members of ICAR-Indian Institute of Water Management, Bhubaneswar have actively

participated in different swachhta activities organized at premises of the Institute on the occasion

of celebration of “Swachhta Pakhwada” on 17thDecember 2018 (3-4PM). The old files of bill and

establishment section have been sorted out and some files have been weeded out. Second phase

of clearance of E-waste of the Institute was initiated. The cleanliness drive was organized at

premises and rear gate of the Institute and unwanted weeds were removed. The non bio-

degradable materials such as plastic and polythene were also cleared. Banner on ‘Swachhta

Pakhwada’ was displayed during the cleanliness drive.

ICAR- Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture, Hyderabad:

In ICAR- Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture, the staff of audit and accounts of

the institute, weeded all the old records by following the procedures as prescribed by ICAR and

GoI and also undertook cleaning of their respective places.

ICAR-National Bureau of Agriculturally Important Microorganisms, Uttar Pradesh

As a part of Swachhta Pakhwara at ICAR-NBAIM today i.e. 17-12-2018, the staff was involved

in cleaning the office premises. The obsolete items lying in the corridors and on the roof were

collected and handed over to store.

ICAR- Central Citrus Research Institute, Nagpur:

ICAR- Central Citrus Research Institute, Nagpur is observing “Swachhta Pakhwada” from 16–

31 December, 2018, 2018 as part of the implementation of the Swachh Bharat Mission. During

these 15 days various activities have been identified and all the staff members have been

motivated to take personal interest to make this campaign a grand success. The Swachhta

Activities undertaken during 16th and 17th December, 2018 are given below alongwith

photographs.

Banners have been placed at prominent places to motivate, encourage the office staff and

the families the importance of “Swachhta”.

Director of the Institute administered the ‘Swachhta pledge’ alongwith all the staff

membersand instructed to devote some time for Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

Undertook intensive cleaning campaign in the Institute premises right from the entrance

gate and areas around the administrative building etc.

Entire campus is being maintained clean.

Glimpses of Swachhta activities during 16-17 December, 2018

ICAR-Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture, Lucknow:

1. Display of banner: Swatchh Bharat Banner displayed at entrance gate for

participating in Social campaign to educate nearby villagers, passerby and

workers for the drive.

2. Basic maintenance: Stock taking on digitization of office records/ e-office

implementation committee meeting held on 17-12-18 particularly with aim

of reducing paper work. In this direction Training of staff initiated at

Institute of Secretariat training and management (ISTM), New Delhi and

four staff members scheduled to attend 21-22 Jan 2019 batch.

3. Purchased Document scanners for doc scanning. Nodal officer is to be

nominated for registering with NIC and digital signature certificate

procurement underway.

4. Joint training: Planned to initiate joint training of all ICAR institutes in

Lucknow

5. Cleanliness drive including cleaning of offices, and premises was done on

17-12-18

6. White washing/painting of porch, Institute building, Directors office, Guest

House etc is initiated and being carried out for general maintenance and

cleanliness of the area in front of Institute premises.

On 17th December 2018 a pledge was taken on Swachha Abhiyan by CSSRI staff and under

Cleanliness Drive from Gate No. 1-2-3 (via Kacchwa/ NirmalKutia Road) Director CSSRI and all

staff members (150) clean the roads and Cleaning of respective office/Labs by CSSRI Staff:

HoDs/PC/SAO/FAO/CO.

ICAR- Central Tobacco Research Institute, Rajahmundry:

Swachh Bharat was conducted on 17-12-2018 at ICAR-CTRI, Rajahmundry

as a part of ongoing pakhwadaprogramme (16-31st December 2018). Director,

ICAR-CTRI briefed the importance of digitization of office records, current status

of the activities and future measures have been advocated. It was followed by

cleanliness drive in the laboratories of different divisions of the institute. All the

staff members of the institute participated enthusiastically in the cleaning

programme.

ICAR-Indian Institute of Vegetable Research, Varanasi:

As a part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan,“Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign was launched at ICAR-

Indian Institute of Vegetable Research, Varanasi with the Administration of the

“SwachhataShapath” to all staff by the Director (I/C), ICAR-IIVR, Varanasi. The staff

committed themselves for at least 100 hours of Cleanliness action on their part, in Institute as

well as their residential surroundings per year. Director (I/C), ICAR-IIVR, Varanasi, highlighted

the importance and benefits of cleanliness and hygiene in daily life and briefed the action plan of

the Institute during the ongoing campaign from 16-31st December, 2018. A sensitizing

programme was also organized amongst the school going children about the “Swachh Bharat

Abhiyan”. More than 170school going children and their teachers were also joined in the

campaign.

ICAR- National Institute of Animal Nutrition and Physiology, Bangalore:

As per Govt. of India initiatives, ICAR-NIANP, Bangalore observed Swachhta Pakhwada

activities on 17th December 2018. At the beginning of program, Swachhta pledge was

administered by the Director, Dr Raghavendra Bhatta to alll the permanent and contractual staff

of this institute. The Director also gave an overview of the activities to be undertaken under this

program from 16-31 December. Swachhta banner was displayed at main gate of the institute.

Ornamental saplings were planted by the staff members on the commencement of program.
