Muchos dicen que las personas que invierten en un caballo de carreras lo hacen solo por dinero; sin embargo la verdad es que un propietario lo que compra es una ilusión, una esperanza, la belleza y nobleza de estos magníficos animales, la emoción de la victoria y la agonía de la derrota.
Y si bien no siempre hemos podido escoger al mejor caballo, nosotros compartimos esa ilusión con cada propietario, y en nuestros ojos esta la meta de encontrar al mejor caballo que le permita hacer realidad los sueños de cada uno de ustedes.
Nuestra ilusión es ganar las Coronas, los Latinos, las Breeders, el Derby… de Kentucky!!!
Hace 21 años cuando partimos a los EEUU lo hicimos con el sueño de que algún día podamos tocar la gloria de ganar un Derby de Kentucky. Con una familia netamente hípica por ambos lados, empezando por mi abuelo Juan Suárez Suárez de quien siempre he sido ídolo y es mi inspiración y mi ejemplo a seguir tanto en lo personal como en lo profesional; mi padre con el que gozamos de muchos éxitos hípicos en la década de los 80; mi tío Juan V. Suárez quien es uno de los mejores preparadores del mundo ; y mis tíos Fernando Toro y José Valdivia grandes jinetes con carreras profesionales intachables.
En el año 2000, cuando las importaciones de caballos nacidos en EEUU al Perú habían prácticamente cesado debido al cambio de los nacimientos al segundo semestre, tomamos la iniciativa de importar un pequeño grupo de productos americanos. Pese a que no tuvieron acogida entre los propietarios de aquellos tiempos, de ese lote salió el múltiple ganador Clásico de Grupo “Tactical War” el cual re-exportamos a EEUU donde logro triunfos, figuraciones clásicas e inclusive fue tercero del Campeón “Roses in May”. Tres más fueron también re-exportados a EEUU donde logramos venderlos ventajosamente. Pasaron unos años hasta que en el 2005 importamos tres caballos por encargo, incluyendo al crack “Al Kadir”. Fue así

como la puerta se reabrió para los productos americanos y ya en el 2006 llegamos al Perú con la generación nacida en el 2005 que incluía al consagrado “Tomcito”, el Campeón “Yamil Junior” y el clasiquero “Soy Franco”. Un año más tarde aparecería un nuevo Crack en “Al Khali” y varios caballos clasiqueros como “Cracovia” y “Secreto de Estado”. Pese a que de la generación nacida en el 2007 AUN no ha emigrado ninguno de sus exponentes, de allí destacan el actual Crack de la Milla “Georgui Lui” y los ganadores Clasicos “Al Dasawi, El Enterrador, Soros y Zlatan”, y los prometedores “Charbel, Doctor Zahi,Zorro Veloz, Mr Jareb, y Rajman”.
En repetidas ocasiones hemos escuchado decir que conseguir un caballo de la calidad de Tomcito era una cosa que pasa una vez cada 100 años, pero mis sueños no terminaron con el Street Cry y en este año apareció “Murjan” para llenar las ilusiones de sus propietarios, las nuestras y la de toda la afición peruana!
Cada año el reto y las ilusiones son mayores y por ello hemos adquirido un Selecto grupo de Caballos Americanos, varios de ellos con líneas de sangre nunca antes vista en el Perú, y a su vez bien conformados. Con el deseo de darle al propietario peruano las satisfacciones que tanto se merecen. El próximo Tomcito, Al Khali o Murjan está en este lote!
