EXPERIENCE & ACHIEVEMENTS

KANNEGIESSER, France, 46 employees. (www.kannegiesser.com) Manufacturer and global distributor of automated turnkey solutions, turnover €350 million for the international industrial laundry market with 12 subsidiaries worldwide and 51 countries represented

The French market is deemed to be the most demanding in the world for the following reasons. Customer requirements are exceptionally high in terms of innovations and pricing, return on investment and performance, which is moving towards advanced automation (55% of the operating costs of a processing unit are in the payroll), setting up a network of facilities to improve productivity and a constant demand to optimize resources (energy costs represent 20% of total operating costs). In this unique context, the role of CEO is primarily one of director of marketing and sales of products and services. Current and future product positioning, absorbing market trends, finding sales arguments, analysing government regulations (Macron law, Touraine law) and private regulations (ISO 50001, ISO 14001), finding financing (direct or backed) are the main activities of a subsidiary CEO. Since my appointment in 2013 as executive director the objective has been to transform the subsidiary into an engineering company and to measure performance. In the space of just a few months, I restored the level of operating margin to its highest level (multiplied by 3) while decreasing the outstanding accounts receivable (divided by 3). Alongside this, developing human resources and promoting existing talents has extended our business area to include new countries thus increasing the level of equipment sales in this difficult environment. Most work contracts have been amended, mobilizing all staff to achieve the objective working in "process" mode. I have also developed creative funding concepts to help customers grow their businesses (20% of sales, upward trend). My teams have designed and developed new approaches to sales and marketing based on ROI (return on investment) and increased performance in a sustainable environment.
